Why Travellers Choose This Tour

Going off-road takes you to rugged and remote areas missed by most visitors.
Your El Dorado Canyon and Gold Mine Trip from Las Vegas transport you from the glittering lights of the famous Strip to the desolate landscapes surrounding the Colorado River. Navigate through cactus forests, red rock formations and mountain ranges that lead to the Grand Canyon on this exciting half-day trip.

After hotel pick up, you’ll be transported to the launch site where you'll get on your fully automatic ATV or UTV and receive a safety and operations orientation before hitting the trail with your professional guide.

Cruise through the rugged terrain under big open skies before settling in for a walking tour of the Techatticup mine. Your guide will explain how the deep shafts here are believed to be haunted as you make your way through the spaces where miners once searched for gold.

Your tour includes lunch in Old West Town, a restored 19th-century mining camp.  Get a taste of history as you tuck into a picnic lunch surrounded by desert landscapes before making your way back to Las Vegas.

This was my first time on the atv and let me say it was a little intimidating. I had to stay back from a steep hill or two but overall was amazing driving through the desert and going in the mine was interesting. Lunch was simple and perfect. All in all was a great time and I would recommend.

Our guide Sherman picked us up at our hotel early and whisked us out to our starting point. All of the employees and owners of the store were great and made our experience fantastic. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone! Take a quad, it is way more fun than the UTV!

Great fun tour to get away from the craziness of the Vegas strip.

Tour was awesome! Enjoyed every moment. Ed, my tour guide, was very kind as I am not the most skilled ATV rider. He was also quite knowledgeable about the area and answered all of my questions thoroughly. Having had a long flight the day before, I appreciated that it was only a short ride from the Strip. Morning pick up was quite punctual. Worth the money.

A well organised trip from the start with excellent communication confirming hotel pick up time the day before. I was with my teenage son, this trip appealed as wanted to do something adventurous and adrenaline fuelled which we certainly got! 8.45am pick up and approximately a 45 min drive to El Dorado Canyon. We stopped en route for a drink/rest room break to a quirky place with loads of cool memorabilia with time to explore and stretch our legs. Then a 2 min drive up the road we were sorted with gloves and helmets. We were in a group of 8 people. To start we warmed up on a trail to get used to our atv's. It was our first time ever on an atv, my son did great but I found driving a little more challenging and was rather slow compared to everyone else. I had the option to ride passenger in a double. This did not lower expectations as it was just as fantastic driving as being a high speed passenger. We had breaks during the atv trail stopping off at some old buildings and caves and were given cold bottled water which was great. Staff ratio was great as we had someone lead the group and someone at the back of the trail so everyone was together. On heading back to the mine we had a fresh Subway lunch, drink, crisps and cookie which went down well. We were then given some history on the different piece's they had on show from an aeroplane to cars and old mining equipment they used to use. Some pieces had been used in films and there was a wedding ceremony happening in the afternoon. I think we spent about 20 minutes in the mine, it has been well looked after and was nice and cool. Then it was time to head back to Las Vegas.
In conclusion it was very dusty from the trail and I wish I had taken a scarf to cover my nose and mouth. This is a great day trip with lunch and water included. I would highly recommend it!
