Small-Group Devil's Pool and Livingstone Island Tour | Jan 2020
We knew it was going to be exciting, but not that good. It was so amazing and thrilling. Water level was perfect for viewing the waterfall and doing the devil’s pool experience, and even the breakfast was delicious. Hlighly recommend this tour!

Jam-packed African experiences w/ private guide

4 Days Victoria Falls Zimbabwe with Chobe National Park Safari Botswana and Livingstone Zambia | Oct 2019
Tamuka Travel was very professional & communicated well with us & our hotel during our stay. This package is jam-packed with experiences. Simon was our main tour guide during our stay. He was an engaging character who showed genuine interest in getting to know us as well as help us to experience the local culture. The first day we checked into our accommodations at the Explorer's Village which is a very well landscaped and maintained resort with friendly staff & good security. It is nestled near the Elephant's Walk market in Vic Falls & is easy walking distance to town/gas station/grocery (though watch out for being swindled at the gas station if you're converting to using USD & watch out for roving baboons in town). The sunset cruise on the Zambezi as well as the daytime cruise on the Chobe river were spectacular. We saw lots of wildlife to include elephants, hippos, crocodiles, monkeys, impalas, & many species of birds. The hike of Vic Falls was gorgeous & Simon ensured we were being educated as we walked. He also snapped photos for us to remember our visit. After the walk of the falls, we took the 15 minute helicopter tour which was breathtaking, if a bit scary! The day trip to Zambia & the Livingstone museum was alright. The museum had no one else in it & while it was educational it was also a bit on the boring side compared to seeing elephants & crocodiles or helicoptering over Vic Falls. We did enjoy haggling for souvenirs in the local market. On our last day we requested to have an authentic local meal, so Simon arranged for his colleague's wife to cook for us & host us in her home for lunch. This was definitely a highlight & we greatly enjoyed meeting local people and hearing their perspectives on local and international politics. They were very warm & welcoming & the food was traditional & delicious! Thanks to Simon & Tamuka Travel for an unforgettable & well-planned experience that allowed us to spend some time in 3 countries in 4 days!

ROUNDTRIP AIRPORT PRIVATE TRANSFER - VFA AIRPORT

star-2IMedina60
Victoria falls international airport private transfer with return | Sep 2019
Tamuka Travel, Viator's affiliate company in Victoria falls leaves a lot to be desired.. When we were picked up at the airport, the representative was delayed in meeting me and my wife at the arrival area and was located only after the airport supervisor shouted for Tamuka Travel. After that the representative made us wait for several minutes because he is waiting for another traveler to arrive. After about 20 minutes, we complained that our transfer should be a private one with me and my wife only at the vehicle. It was only then that he put us into a van and brought us to our hotel. On the day of our departure, Sept. 1st at 10:00am, nobody from Tamuka Travel came and we have to seek the help of Victoria Falls Hotel concierge to get us a taxi to the airport. We tried to call the agency's number +61712514006 several times but no one answered. This is our first big dissapointment in selecting Viator for our travel needs.

Small-Group Devil's Pool and Livingstone Island Tour | Sep 2019
These guys did a great job all around. This is one of the best things to do on the Zambia side. I recommend doing the early bookings with the breakfast. The breakfast was quite good and healthy. There were a few different option. Don' waste your time with the higher priced bookings. This one is at the right price.

Pick up and airport return

Livingstone airport private transfer with return (Zambia) | Sep 2019
Driver was prompt at pick up, professional, at a pleasure to deal with; however, on return trip to airport he was 15 minutes late for pick-up. This did not present an issue once we arrived as we ended up having plenty of time checking in.

Poor Operation

star-2allysonh99
Victoria Falls Cultural Private Tour with Lunch | Nov 2018
The first issue which rubbed me the wrong way was when the agent asked for an additional $90 USD for a park entrance fee. No where in the reservation was it stated that we would be asked for additional funds. Next issue came when we decided we didn't want to walk to the lunch restaurant. We had to wait for a car and the car that arrived was not the one we were originally picked up when. When the guide came to pick us up for lunch it was someone's non air conditioned cab. After lunch we were transported in another vehicle again with out air conditioning which made it a miserable experience for us as it was quite hot. We didn't understand why we started off in an air conditioned vehicle in the morning only to end up in a non air conditioned vehicle in the afternoon. It also upset us that we had to sit outside for lunch when we would have preferred inside. Note: we were paying the same prices as the people sitting inside in the cool place.

Victoria falls international airport private transfer with return | Sep 2018
HiThe Driver failed to turn up to collect me for my return journey to the airport, so consequently I had pay for my own taxi $35 which made me late for my flight, which I just about managed to catch. Also both telephone numbers on the voucher did not work so I could not find out where he was, please advise on my refund.Regards Fabio

Not what I expected

Victoria Falls Sunrise Photography Tour with Lunch and Sunset Cruise | Jul 2018
Supposedly due to park hours was picked up later than expected, and was not at Victoria Falls in time for sunrise. Since I was not in a group the Victoria Falls portion was very short and there was no photography guidance. The lunch was OK, but the restaurant was easily visited on your own and not part of a booking. The river cruise was the most enjoyable part of this package, but would probably be better booked separately. The first 2 parts could easily have been done on your own, as this package did not seem to add anything to either of those excursions.

Night Game Drive and Bush Dinner from Victoria Falls | May 2018

This tour was a problem from the start!! I have booked several tours with Viator and every tour company confirms--except for this one! I called the day of the tour, to the company on the voucher. They insisted that they meet me to get the voucher and the money--before the tour that evening. A man came to our hotel, to get the 20 in cash for the park fee. He also said he needed the voucher at that time and I gave it to him. He said that they would be at our hotel at 3:30pm. We were waiting for them and another man, in a jeep was looking for three people for the 3:30 tour. I asked him the name of the guest and he did not have the name. The van had a completely different name than the tour company on the voucher. He was insistent that he was NOT picking us up. I began to call to find out what was going on. Then, the man decided he would take us and that there was some sort of error with the tour company and honestly, I could not understand his excuse. But, we then left for our bush drive. We finally entered a park gate and began driving around in a jeep through a bunch of brush. by this point in our African trip, we had been on four drives and had been in Africa for 14 days--we knew what a game drive should look like. The driver informed us that this was a private park that protected rhinos--13 of them. So for 1.5 hours, he searched, for that ONE rhino!! We had to get out of the jeep, and walk down a path, to see a rhino off in the distance and the other side of the water hole. Mind you, the advertisement says that they would provide insect repellent--they did not! I didn't bother to put ours on as I thought we were getting to use theirs for the evening. We drove to someone's house, where there were two zebras in the front yard. We stopped for our refreshments--some wine, spirits and a few snacks. The driver set up a table and we stood by the table and the jeep. The sunset view was however, very nice. But, at this time, I was getting bit by mosquitos and just wanted to leave. We left for the nighttime portion of the drive. One more hour of looking at bush with a flashlight. At dinner time, another guest was leaving early, and we chose to do the same. We left without eating and quickly went back to our lodge where we could actually see animals from the deck of the lodge at the watering hole. Also, there is NO transfer between countries as said in the first review. As I should remember, buyer beware--there was only one review prior to our booking.
