Enjoy the chill environment, beautiful scenery and fun-filled attractions of the most famous beach towns around Los Angeles, covering Long Beach to Venice Beach to Santa Montica and Huntington Beach too. If you’re looking for an easy way to get a feel for the unique seaside vibe that’s made L.A. famous, then this tour is a great option.
Start your day from a departure point at either the Los Angeles Farmers Market or the Four Points by Sheraton in Culver City. Depending on which point you’ve selected, you’ll leave at either 6:30 or 7am. Head to your first beach town visit at Huntington Beach, a town nicknamed as “Surf City” thanks to its mention by the Beach Boys. Observe the surfers paddling into the local swells and check out some volleyball competition at the pavilion. Take a few minutes to feel the sand between your toes before proceeding to Long Beach.
Make your next stop in Long Beach at the Queen Mary, a historic British ocean liner which made its last trip back in 1967. Enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of this magnificent boat, investigating the restored sections such as the machine rooms, aft and bridge, plus many more locations.
Move on from the elegant design of a vintage cruise ship to the quirky environs of Venice Beach, possibly one of the most eclectic beachfront strips in the world. Observe a mish-mash of talented street performers, hard-body weightlifters, graceful skateboarders and eclectic merchants who call the beach’s coastline home. Then leave the eccentric area of Venice behind as you head just north to the famous Santa Monica Pier, offering a wealth of places to eat, people watch or enjoy a ride on the pier’s action-packed rollercoaster and Ferris wheel.
Finish your trip along Santa Monica’s upscale Third Street Promenade, a pedestrian-only walking and shopping area offering a variety of upscale merchants. Grab a few souvenirs or do do some window shopping before receiving a drop-off back at your original departure point.
