We were just staggered with this experience, the whole morning was spectacular. The pilot Ya-Ya was fun and stylish, and the views were just inspiring. This was very well organised and definitely a bucket list box ticked!
Difficult to know where to start everything about the trip was amazing, the people who picked us up in the morning were lovely and so were all the staff. The pilot was funny and knowledgable we felt safe, the landing was very well executed, very professional ( I have been on a balloon in uk which was not as good a landing) best breakfast cooked fresh, whole experience very good would highly recommend.
This was an excellent excursion! We got picked up near our riad at 5:15 with another group and drove about 40 min to where the hot air balloon and tent were located. There was coffee, juice, and croissants when we arrived. The actual hot air balloon ride was absolutely incredible and the views were just amazing! It was the perfect amount of time, probably around an hour. The breakfast after was very light - different breads, hard boiled eggs, tea - and we went after to the camel ride. This was only about 20 min but that was more than enough time. We got back a little before 10 am. It didn’t drag out too long or include anything unnecessary, which we loved. Overall great!
The crew were very friendly and professional. Driver was on time and everyone looked after us very well. The pilot of our hot air balloon showed us how to fly the balloon and discussed some places we saw from up above.🎈 I felt safe and it wasn't too scary at all. We saw the best sunrise ever.🌞😊
The camel ride was quick though. I think it was just under 10 minutes. However, overall, it was a really good experience. I would recommend the hot air balloon ride more👌🎈
Just double check that your driver is with the correct company when they pick you up at the hotel, as there are other companies that do similar activities that won’t check names. Other than that, a fantastic experience!
Trip was cancelled, having trouble getting a refund!
, May 2019
The night before the trip was to occur, we learned the King was in Marrakech and the balloons were not permitted to fly (oh darn!) I have been trying to contact the company for a refund but haven't been successful. It is a lot of money, please be wary of this company! I will amend my review if I get a refund but otherwise BUYER BEWARE.
Overall it was an experience to go up in a hot air balloon, the guide was fantastic, cracking jokes and keeping us entertained. I was slightly disappointed that the balloon did not drift in any direction except for going up and remaining at that position before descending. Maybe that was just my expectation!!! The breakfast was pretty basic and lacking since we had an early start so was expecting something more substantial. The camel ride was ok, you get on a camel as a group, the owner guides them and you go around an empty arid field, a few pictures and that was it.
For the money I paid for 2 people I do not think it was value for money, but for me Marrakech was a bucket list place I wanted to visit as was the hot air balloon.
