I was surprised when I booked this trip expecting to go by train and instead went on a bus. I expected to get to the castle quicker since we were suppose to go by train. Luckily for us traffic was not that bad (sometimes traffic can be horrible) and we got there on time. This was the best decision I made since I was going to drive. Didn't have to worry about driving, parking, buying tickets, and possibly getting lost. I recommend this to everyone.

You really have to go to Neuschwanstein if you're in Munich. You just do. It's the model for Disney's Magic Kingdom, and even though I've never been to Disneyworld or Disneyland, I grew up with The Wonderful World of Disney on TV, which opened with a scene of their version of the castle.

Short review: My sister and I agreed we wouldn't make a return trip, but we were glad we went the one time. It's a long 2 hour train ride from Munich and the castle really is quite impressive to look at - but there's not much to see once you're inside. On a positive note, that hike up and down the side of the mountain provided our day's workout.

A BIG shout-out to our guide, Veronika Eckbauer ?. She was awesome - engaging, funny, and just overall fantastic. We wouldn't have enjoyed the trip half as much without her.

Great tour! Lots of interesting information from our guide, Veronica, and she really took time to give a lot of details about the castle and its history. The walk up the mountain is a little steep, but we took small breaks and heard more stories along the way. Highly recommended! Best part of out trip to Munich

Aileen was very knowledgable about the area and gave great tips of things to do in Munich as well! She was very informative and told us what to do and where to be at certain times. This is a MUST do as it is worth every penny. The train ride was very scenic and beautiful! Can't wait to go back :

Go on to the paddle boats down at the river, affordable and you have the most beautiful views! Take pictures of the castles, go to the bridge, but just take a pic and turn around, same view on the bridge at the beginning and end and so crowded so not worth waiting to just walk to the other side. Eat a bratwurst and drink a beer. walk around and just enjoy the nature.
