Indulge in the most delicious food that Naples has to offer on this tasty 3-hour street food-themed walking tour. With a guide to show you the best of the best, you'll stroll the streets of this colorful city, exploring the street vendors and the food markets. Sip a strong espresso, sample Neapolitan delights like warm 'sfogliatella' (a layered pastry) and learn where to get the best pizza in the city. The tour is limited to 14 people so you’ll get personalized attention from the guide.
  • 3-hour street food tour around Naples
  • Admire beautiful buildings including the Galleria Umberto I, the Royal Palace of Naples and Teatro di San Carlo
  • Learn about Neapolitan street food traditions and about popular street snacks
  • Rub shoulders with locals at a traditional food market
  • Sample typical Neapolitan food and drink including sfogliatella and espresso
  • Enjoy an intimate experience on this small-group tour, with numbers limited to 14
Meet your guide in the morning at Castel Nuovo, a thick-walled fort and erstwhile residence to the Neapolitan monarchy. Get an orientation on the day from the guide and then begin strolling the streets, learning about the history of the place and hearing why there are so many unique and delicious food items in this seaside city.
Spot local historical sites along the way, such as the longest running opera house in Europe, Teatro di San Carlo, and many churches. Pop into a cafe for a strong shot of espresso, which will hopefully build an appetite for the food you’re about to eat. As you make your way to the next food destination, pass through Piazza del Plebiscito, a square lined with historic eye-pleasing structures such as Naples Royal Palace. Inside the 19th-century Galleria Umberto I, indulge in a warm and sweet layered pastry known as sfogliatella.
Then walk on to the food market. Meet some local food purveyors and get an introduction to classic Neapolitan street food, as fishmongers and green grocers go about their daily business. Here you can try various street snacks, which will change based on the season but could include 'o pére e ‘o musso (cold meat with salt and lemon) or a pizzette (small pizza).
Later, walk down Spaccanapoli, a narrow lane in the center of the city’s Old Town, until you reach Piazza Dante. Before your guide says arrivederci, get some tips on where to get the best pizza in town.

Our guide Sylvia used her knowledge of Naples to show us a perfect sample of Neapolitan life. We highly recommend.

What a great way to see Naples and sample a wide variety of foods and drink. Can't say enough about our guide Sylvia who really made this a special tour. Both her knowledge of the history as we walked around the city as well as her selection of samples from special coffee and pastry to fresh sea food at the market were outstanding. I don't think we could have asked for more. Also, she provided us with some incredible recommendations for dinner which turned out to be the best we had in a city that is full of great food. Top marks

Sylvia was a great host. She educated us not only on the food of Naples, but gave us a history and culture lesson to boot! As a proud Neapolitan, she gave us a fantastic tour. The food was very good and there was so much, we could not eat all of it.

My husband and I wanted to experience the local experience and that is why we choose the tour. We walked around the city learning about Naples and eating food we wouldn't eat if we where by our self like fry pizza or cuoppo di mari.
The tour guide Silvia was punctual, very nice and knowledgeable! we where lucky the tour was just for the 2 of us.
Was a rainy February day, but that didn't stop us to have fun!
If is your first day in Naples we highly recommend this tour, you will get to walk and to know a lot about the city.

My only complaint was there was too much food! Everything from the professor's coffee to offal I would never have tried otherwise to calzones to delicately fried bites of fish to gelato was perfect. I highly recommend the tour to anyone who would like to try anything and everything while learning the history of how these peasant foods developed to much of the comfort foods we eat today. Try it , you'll like it. No actually you'll love it. A great way to spend an afternoon in exploring Naples that left us wanting more.

Our cruise ship docked in Naples for the day didn't want to take one of the ships large rushed bus tours found this food tour and thought we'd give it a try. So what could possibly go wrong? Nothing ... it was amazing!!! Giuseppee Joe led our small group only 2 couples on a 3 hour, easy walking tour which covered Neapolitan food, Neapolitan history, and anything you wanted to ask him. It also covered eating food and more food and more. Anyone and everyone would like this tour. Your loss if you don't try it.

My husband, mother-in-law, and I took this tour recently and enjoyed it very much. Our cruise ship docked in Naples for the day and we were seeking something different than the planned excursions our cruise offered us. This definitely fit the bill! Our tour guide Giuseppe was very informative, friendly and fun to walk and talk with while we ate our way through town. As Americans, we felt very comfortable and would recommend this to others. Just as a warning, we got very full and couldn't finish everything offered to us. So, pace yourself. :
