Vikky Ferris's Review

All six of us said this was the best event in our entire trip. The main guide was terrific. He made sure we were safe and his information about the wildlife was good. The horses were tame and we felt very safe. It was a fantastic experience for us.
Thank you Vikky for your review for reggae horseback. We are 15 minutes drive from negril hotels and we also offer private rides for persons who prefer a more relaxed experience. Private tours offers private guides, free photos/videos, shaded trails, trotting on private beach, no long lineup to start and the option to stop Andy leave the tour if you choose. Regular large group ride offers fixed riding times for everyone in that group, bus picks up at all negril hotels. Our guides as you saw are well experienced and have an abundance of knowledge about Jamaica, our 900 acres of nature, including wetland, private beach ride and the ocean swim. Photos/videos are Free with guides using your cameras/phones. Our horses are very quiet & gentle, well trained, No experience is required for this two (2) hour tour. Morning rides are much cooler, and the ocean is very calm and therefore horses swim much easier without the waves. Evening rides are very romantic, Sunset is amazing and the south-coast mountain side views are the most picturesque you will ever see. We are delighted that your private group of six persons all enjoyed & thought reggae horseback was your best event while here in Jamaica. We provide extreme safety on all
Tours and we also provide a walking guide to hold the lead rope for kids riding their own horses. We are happy that your group had a Fantastic experience and we look forward to seeing you all again. Thank you for visiting.

The three of us had a private taxi transfer from our hotel to the plantation and back. The guide was very knowledgeable and insightful on our ride through the plantation landscape to the beech, he took our camera at the start and took plenty of good photos throughout our ride.Once in the beech he took our daughter for a once in a lifetime experience of cantering along the beech, followed by another once in a lifetime experience of swimming with the horses.Couldn't rate the guide and experience highly enough.Thank you all at reggae horseback
Other than the transportation, which arrived about 15 minutes late and was a car that was literally falling apart at least the A/C worked!, this trip was incredible. It was just my boyfriend and I on the tour, we started as soon as we got there, rode about 2 miles through the woods on a dirt road to get to the beach. Once on the beach the horses had a quick rest, changed saddles, and we went into the water for about 10 minutes. It was absolutely gorgeous - an unbelievable experience! When we got back to the farm, we took pictures with the ostrich, saw some peacocks they were shy and ran away, and headed back in the same car.
The tour guides were amazing, telling us about the different plants and animals that live in the wooded area we rode through. They also had my phone the whole time and took a bunch of amazing videos and photos, constantly posing the horse so we had the best background. Highly highly recommend!!
I will definitely be going again. It rained a bit the first portion of the trip but that was out of anyone's control. The guy's were super sweet including the cab driver that picked us up from the hotel. Felt like I was a member of the family not just a customer.
I had a really good time on this trip with Reggae Horseback Riding. I was the only person on the tour. The pick-up was a few minutes late due to a last minute change in driver -- the original one had a flat tire on the way to the hotel. The delay did not matter because I was the only person scheduled for the tour. The farm has about 45 horses and it is an easy ride along the trail to the beach. Make sure you take your sunscreen and bug spray. The guide pointed out a number of plants and other things of interest along the ride to the beach. We stopped at the beach for about 20 minutes before returning to the farm. The farm has chickens, peacocks and an ostrich. An ostrich -- the last thing I expected to see in Jamaica. I felt that this trip was much more personalized than the horseback riding tours that I saw traveling along the beach in front of my hotel. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a short half day trip while in Negril.
