Journey back in time 3,000 years and discover the beauty and history of the Valley of Fire on this day trip from Las Vegas. Named for its red-colored rock formations, the valley was once the spiritual center of the ancient Anasazi Indians, a great early American civilization. Explore Valley of Fire State Park, the oldest and largest state park in Nevada, as well as the Lost City Museum’s priceless artifacts and ancient Indian art. It’s a spiritual- and wonder-filled adventure. Deli-style boxed lunch and Las Vegas hotel pickup/drop-off included.
  • Tour of the Valley of Fire and Lost City Museum from Las Vegas
  • Visit the sacred Indian lands through the Valley of Fire
  • Stop at the Lost City Museum, one of the most complete collections of the early Pueblo Indians.
  • Deli-style boxed lunch is included
  • Complimentary hotel pickup and drop-off from Las Vegas hotels
This 8-hour excursion to the Valley of Fire and the Lost City Museum begins with a Las Vegas hotel pickup. From the famous Vegas Strip, it’s approximately an hour drive north to Valley of Fire State Park.
The aptly named Valley of Fire, well known for its red-colored rock formations, was once the spiritual center of the ancient Anasazi Indians, a great early American civilization. Valley of Fire State Park, the oldest and largest state park in Nevada, covers almost 42,000 acres. This National Natural Landmark gets its name from the red sandstone formations that were formed from great shifting sand dunes during the age of the dinosaurs. These features, which are the centerpiece of the park's attractions, often appear to be on fire when the sun’s rays reflect off of them.
Then discover the Lost City Museum (formerly the Boulder Dam Park Museum), built over and around the foundations of ancient Anasazi Pueblo ruins. Look for priceless artifacts and displays of pottery, baskets, arrowheads, tools, plus mystical ancient Indian petroglyphs and pictographs.
Be sure to bring a camera. This combo tour of early Native American life is truly a photographer’s dream come true.

I highly recommend this trip. Small group of four. Tour guide Bob was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. Box lunch was delicious. And the area is absolutely gorgeous!

Fantastic! Our tour guide was Peter. We were a small tour of 4. We're from Honolulu, Hawaii. The second couple was from London, England. En route to Valley of Fire, Peter gave us a historical background of Las Vegas. We stopped halfway at an Indian convenience store, which provided modern facilities. The rest stop provided at Valley of Fire was "rustic" explained Peter. We've been to Red Rock, but Red Rock pales in comparison to Valley of Fire. This is not a sit down tour. It's an interactive walking tour as Peter points out petroglyphs, water wells, and the distinctive feature of each site. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Peter allowed us to take as much time as needed to see and experience each site. We even got to see the site from "Star Trek" where Captain Kirk was buried. And the lunch, I could barely eat all my sandwich. You have a choice of selection. Even the ground squirrel enjoyed the chips. And the Lost City Museum Tour Center is full of information regarding the history of the area, the Indians that lived there, and the many artifacts utilized by them. Peter made sure we were comfortable, answered all our question, and very well informed. He surely enjoys what he is doing and his enthusiasm is catching. PS: Instead of dropping us at our pickup point, he dropped us off at our hotel.. That's service!

We had a wonderful time with Denis at the valley of Fire. He was a great guide and full of interesting information about the plants and animals as well as the amazing landscape. He was happy to stop and let us take photos pointing out the good places and rock formations. We really had a great trip. Thank you.

Great, the tour guide was the best I think his name was either Lloyd or Larry but he was well versed on the Valley of Fire. I will be taking the hiking tour the next time I come back to Vegas

The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Because we were a small goup 4 our tour guide took us to some beautiful, less traveled viewing areas. The entire trip was awe inspiring, however, the museum was not open. The small ground squirrels at out lunch stop were cute and entertaining.

I took this trip as a solo traveler, and the tour guide Clayten B. was the greatest! It was a smaller group, 2 couples and myself, he introduced us all, was comfortable right from start! We saw so many wonderful points, the colors and rock formations are amazing, saw petroglyphs and some lizards sunning, a condor, Clayten was such an informative, friendly guide, learned alot about the area, and many many pictures, which he also was willing to take! We stopped at the cabins, we also had our box lunch which was included, good Italian sandwich! On way back we stopped at the LOst Museum in Overten and had more pics, some great information in museum and bought a few gifts! Hotel pick up and drop off, it was a very memorable day!

Had a great experience. Driver was very informative. Good lunch provided. End of April was good time to go on this tour as weather was not as hot as later in the year.
