What To Expect

Head to Toulouse Street in the French Quarter and board your beautiful riverboat. This paddlewheel ship — one of the last of its kind in New Orleans — will transport you back to the 19th century when ports bustled with produce-laden cargo ships, steamboats, and clandestine privateering.

Take a stroll along the deck as you begin the journey along the Mississippi River. Then have a seat in the cabin or on the outside deck, where you’ll get unobstructed views of the striking shoreline at dusk, and soak up some live jazz tunes from the Grammy-nominated Dukes of Dixieland, a true New Orleans-style band.

As for dinner, your tableside meal might include anything from chicken and sausage gumbo to cheesy penne pasta. Top it off with signature bread pudding accompanied by coffee and tea.

Your evening cruise ends back at the departure point in the French Quarter.

Please Note: The "starting from" price displayed is based on the cruise only option.

Steamboat NATCHEZ

The Steamboat NATCHEZ is taking some time off, but her sister vessel, the Riverboat CITY of NEW ORLEANS will be taking her place. Enjoy 1-hour dockside before the riverboat begins her 2-hour cruise down the Mississippi River.

2 hours Admission Ticket Included

Mississippi River

The family dinner and cruise.
Jacquelyn_J, Aug 2022
A great experience. The dinner service was excellent. The cruise was fantastic. I will recommend this to family and friends when they are visiting New Orleans.
Nice Experience
Elizabeth_V, Aug 2022
We booked the evening steam boat cruise with dinner option. Dinner was Buffett style, only chicken breast served with penne pasta w/tiny seafood bites, green beans with Almonds and pear shaped potatoes. On the table spring mix salad and a small small bowl of black beans and rice with bread. Food was ok, nothing to Bragg about. The only plus was the amazing views as you slowly go down the river. See attached pic. The 4 person jazz band played at the beginning of the cruise, after the caption took over and provided info via mic throughout the whole ride. After a while it was too much. Over all Good experience while in Nola.

Steamboat/Dinner Cruise Experience
Sophia_T, Aug 2022
We went on the Sreamboat/dinner cruise on a Sunday evening and the weather was perfect. Dinner was really good and our waitress was very nice. After dinner we were able to go up to any of the upper level decks and enjoyed the tour of New Orleans. The tour guide could have had a bit more pep/energy to his voice (my boyfriend was getting drowsy listening to his monotone and winded voice). The band could have been better. It didn't sound to jazzy to us and others we talked to on the steamboat. Overall, it is still a cruise worth taking.
Fun, Not a must do.
Megan_D, Aug 2022
This was an interesting experience. The onboard organ or whatever instrument it is was horribly unbearable pre- boarding and during boarding. It felt like I was being tortured. After it quit the ride was nice. Not much to do and not much to see. The boat is nifty, but I would not go again.
Mississippi river sunset....awesome!
Latosha_K, Aug 2022

The event was great especially with family. Peaceful time and enjoy time with family! I’d recommend this event for all family with small children.
Extremely disappointed
Jan_G, Aug 2022
We were expecting a jazz evening and nice dinner but were so disappointed with no jazz band in the dining area, rushed dining with staff in polo shirts busy clearing everything next to the average buffet food. Considering this is a major thing to do in N Orleans we all expected a lively evening with jazz band playing constantly rather than 40 mins on the top deck .
Jazz cruise review
Shelly_A, Aug 2022
We had an awesome relaxing time. Food was good and desert but just fyi wasn’t a lot of music. It was talking on the way out and music partially on the way back .
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Isn't the river a great place to relax, drink & dine? Thank you
Birthday couples do Nola
Terrie_N, Aug 2022
The captain was very informative and the food was so much better than sone reviewed it to be… we were expecting just subpar food and it was very good
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Thanks so much for the Food compliments. We appreciate them and relish the news that you enjoyed your birthday celebration.
Bucket list, check.
CLEMENT_S, Aug 2022
The music was very good and sight seeing was amazing, tour guide did well and the history of the river story was eye opening.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Wonderful. Another Bucket List checked off. Thanks for making it a cruise on the river
Memorable but description needs to be improved
ivy_l, Aug 2022
Food, music, and sunset views made for a memorable experience. I believe it needs to be clear that the boat has two dining floors, not just one. Made for booking the cruise and meeting up with friends after boarding a bit more challenging than it needed to be.

Chibundu_O, Aug 2022
The scene was gorgeous at night. The food was excellent. Very calming and soothing. I would most definitely do it again.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
We love the review and hope you will sail with us again.
Good, Informative. Average.
Philip_S, Aug 2022
Boarded at 6 pm. Didn’t leave dock until 7:10 pm. I guess they are saving $$ on fuel. Cruising is less than 2 hours, even though on boat for 3 hours.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
We promote that boarding "opens" at 6pm, but we sail 7pm-9pm. ( And don't we wish we could save fuel) But that doesn't enter into the departure and return time. Thanks for the 4 Bubble review.

Not worth it at ALL
Ulysses_O, Aug 2022
Scenery wasn't much but okay. Food was terrible! Nothing about it said New Orleans. And for that price?!? Very disappointed.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Ulysses, we are certainly unhappy that you were disappointed in your dinner. Serving people from around the world makes it a challenge to please everyone with the menu.
Autumn_W, Aug 2022
Great time on the Mississippi. We did the dinner option and the food was good, if you don't want to do the dinner options, snacks are available to purchase on the boat as well.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Wow - we just love those 5 bubble reviews. Thank you
