The Badger Chute Rafting Adventure begins at Riverfront Chalets which is 20km West of Grand Falls-Windsor on the  TransCanada Highway (Route 1).  When you arrive our friendly guides will sign you in and get you set up with all the appropriate safety equipment needed for you adventure.  For cooler weather days a waterproof splash jacket is provided and wet suits are available to rent.  Change rooms and washrooms are provided on site, so you can leave your dry cloths and towels in your vehicle and they will be ready for you when you get off the river.

Once you are geared up our guides will lead you in an entertaining safety briefing before boarding the big red bus for a short 10km trip to Badger, NL.   In Badger, your guides will sort everyone on to rafts (ensuring to keep groups together); each raft can safely accommodate 8-10 people, but we have several rafts so large groups are also welcome!  After some additional safety instructions from your guide you will embark on your guided rafting adventure for some fun in the sun (or rain! All of our trips run rain or shine, and the rainy days can be the best days).  The trip takes you down the mighty Exploits River and features a great assortment of calm sections with great swimming opportunities and some very exciting rapids.  The rapids start really small at the beginning of the trip which is perfect to introduce you to the fun of white water and to prepare you for the excitement ahead.  The signature rapids on the adventure are the "Exploits Steps" and "Badger Chute", both of which feature great waves that will soak everyone on the boat and provide excitement while still being safe enough to allow even non-swimmers and young children to participate.  At the Badger Chute you will even have an optional opportunity to jump into the heart of the rapid and ride a whirlpool!

After conquering the big rapids you take a break on a beautiful rock island for a healthy lunch and to relax and enjoy the outdoors.  There is a great standing wave beside the island that allows us to "surf" the rafts.  This is an optional thrill that is easily the highlight of the day!  Are you brave enough to "Ride the Bull?".  Like every part of the trip, this activity is family friendly as well, so even the kids can take a shot at the big surf!

After surfing and eating your fill you will begin the a nice float home featuring plenty of time for swimming and games before you arrive back at Riverfront Chalets for a BBQ and a chance to check out all the great photos from your trip and chat with your guides. This trip will be the highlight of your entire summer!
