Meet your local guide outside the lobby of your Jujuy hotel. Set out on foot to see the landmarks and highlights of the city, officially known as San Salvador de Jujuy.
Stop first at the Christ of the Brotherhood, which offers panoramic views of the city that give visitors an understanding of the city's layout. Continue to see the statue of a pioneer woman of Argentinian art, Lola Mora, situated around the Police Museum, Cabildo, and the Plaza Belgrano.
Walk down Belgrano Street, noticing the impressive architecture as you approach San Francisco Church and its towers. Continue to Lavalle Museum, dedicated to the memory of Juan Gallo Lavalle, a military leader.
Opt to upgrade your tour with a visit to the Archaeological Museum, home to the mummy of Juanita La Doncella, a well-preserved Inca girl who was sacrificed as an offering to the gods in the 1400s. After leaving the museum, walk down the Promenade des Artisans and visit the Mitre Theater.
Your walking tour concludes with drop-off back at your Jujuy accommodation.
Christ of the Brotherhood
Drive to the outskirts of the city, where you'll take a short walk to Christ of the Brotherhood. Learn about the Jujuy landscape as you take in the panoramic views from the base of the statue.
Finish your tour with a visit to the Mitre Theatre and a walk along the Promenade des Artisans.
