A true taste of O'ahu
, Nov 2019
So glad to have gone on this tour! It was a great mix of sightseeing, hiking, and snacking. The hike up to Manoa Falls was much more slippery than anticipated, but our guide was super helpful in setting us at a good pace and navigating the terrain. Seeing the waterfall at the end made it all worth it. Stopping at Puu Ualakaa State Park offered great views. We didn't rent a car during our trip, so it was nice having transportation to must-see viewpoints like this. We also loved that this tour stopped at the famous, delicious Leonard's Bakery for some fresh malasadas! The perfect treat after hiking. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a morning activity.
Manoa Falls Strenuous Hike
, Sep 2019
This was highly recommended and my son enjoyed it. It was a gorgeous hike and a beautiful day. It had rained earlier, but stopped when we hiked. It was explained as a "moderate" hike by Trip Advisor and said the trails were fairly easy to navigate. But this was not an accurate description. I only managed to go about 1/4 the distance, but I am 71 years old plus I have MS. Two other members of our family are 26 years old and only made it halfway. They said the steps were extremely steep and I couldn't have made it. My son who is pretty athletic did manage to go all the way to the top and pretty quickly without the rest of us slowing him down. The description has to be more accurate. It's a "strenuous" hike for most people. It is a waterfall, but doesn't match what we have in California at Yosemite.
Manoa waterfall hike and nature walk
, Aug 2019
My husband and I went on the Manoa waterfall hike and nature walk during our honeymoon on Oahu. Our driver and guide we're both students from the University of Hawaii, and they were excellent. We learned about the history of the local area and were treated to spectacular views.
Nice hike

It was a beautiful day for a nature hike and walking to the waterfalls. Raja was a great guide and gave us interesting tidbits not only regarding the waterfall and the hike but about Honolulu as we traveled to Manoa Falls as well. Being new to hiking, it was doable. Definitely worth the time!

We had booked this trip as I thought this was a guided hike. Koki came and picked us up and gave us some history about the area and showed us where we can start the hike. The hike was self guided, which was ok as you really cannot get lost! After the hike we went to Leonard's Bakery which was nice as well.
