Traveller Tips

Try to get on the boat as early as you can.
I recommend this tour to families with kids as well.
The tour by bus and then by boat makes for a very long day, but an educational and enjoyable one.

A good way to see Oslo on the first day of your stay.
Anthony_M, July 2022
The guide an older lady called Margaret was amazing. She said she’d been an Oslo guide since 1964 but had great fitness and energy.
Oslo combo tour
Karen_A, July 2022
Our tour guide was very sweet but when walking around in large group- difficult to hear. Fjord cruise very anti-climactic
Skip the cruise
Melinda_G, Aug 2022
The Grand City Tour was great. A good overview of the city and the museums were interesting. I would have loved more time at the Folk Museum. The cruise was a complete bust. Too many people on board so it was impossible to move around. If you didn't get a good seat to begin with your view was pretty much non-existent. Heading out into the fjord we could not hear any of the commentary. Coming back in it was like they turned on a new speaker but the pre-recorded commentary didn't match what we were seeing so it was pointless. Save your money and do the shorter tour then book a different fjord cruise.
Excellent Oslo Tour
Dipshikha_B, July 2022
Excellent guide, she made the tour more engaging by providing a lot of local and personal context. The cruise boat was small and crowded, but once on board, we enjoyed the sights around and it was tremendously fun. Vigeland park and the Fram museum were super.
Great bus tour, ok cruise
Rahul_P, July 2022
The bus tour was really good. Our guide was very knowledgeable and he had a great sense of humor. The cruise was ok, a bit underwhelming.
Excellent !
ANTONIOS_R, Aug 2022

Excelente choice to see...
Marysabel_M, July 2022
Excelente choice to see Oslo the tour lady was phenomenal. She explained everything with so much patience.
The land tour was better...
Holly_H, July 2022
The land tour was better than the harbor tour. They made it sound like you'd actually see the fjords. They kust spend a couple hours floating in a gigantic circle. Nothing you can't see from land.

Wonderful experience
Anna_Z, Aug 2022
Very well organized tour on a double decker bus with a very friendly and knowlegable guide. We enjoyed it very much and recommend it to anyone. We went with two kids 5 and 8 and they did not complain too much haha Oslo is such a beautiful city with so much to see and do. All the attractions we went to were well worth seeing. If anything I wish we had more time to explore, especially the Fram museum, but that would make this tour 12 hours long lol The views on the fjord cruise were absolutely beautiful so I'm glad we added that to the experience.
Great value- the full monty
Ruth_K, July 2022
A great taster day of what Oslo has to offer over a whole day. So many different experiences. Would have liked longer at folk and flam museums
Nearer again
Brendan_S, Aug 2022
Walking off the cruise boat at the end. Tour was rushed and at the end we were herded onto an overcrowded ex-fishing boat to sit in the sun in a overcrowded, sardine like conditions . I refused and walked off the boat. Don't go near this tour
7 Hours On Tour
Mark_B, Aug 2022
Saved me time; guide was amazing! driver was quite attentive; tour on the fjord was ok but probably a bit too long for me

Nice Introdiction to Oslo
Kathi_L, Sept 2022
We loved the Sculpture Park and the outdoor museum. The cruise was lovely, but extremely crowded. Unfortunately, there was no opportunity given for lunch in the 7 hours because of a competition on the ski jump. Time should have been allotted for food. Everyone was starving.
Perfect for a first time visitor to Norway but not if you like a lot of information.
Suzanne_K, July 2022
I thought we could have spent longer at the Ski jump in Oslo so that we could visit the top! I would have like more historical facts about Oslo rather than about use of electric cars and schools in Norway. The boat trip was lovely.
Well organized tour
Long_X, July 2022
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and the tour was well organized and packed with activities. Providing the tour has no meal break and eating on the tour bus is not permitted, I’d suggest the tour organizer to inform the tourists the appropriate time and location to consume snacks in advance.
A great way to see Oslo
Troy_M, July 2022
This was a great way to see all of The best things in Oslo in a day! The guide was very friendly and informative, and she was punctual. We saw so much with the time we had, and she didn’t talk too much or too little. I recommend this to anyone in Oslo for a day or two.
Tour was good the Cruise was a waste of time
George_K, Sept 2022
Frankly the tour was fine. Our guide was very professional and knowledgeable however as far as I am concerned the”fjord tour” is a waste of time unless you live in areas whets you never see the water. The tour would be better by adding the kon-tiki museum and cutting the boat tour in half.
Oslo Grand Cruise
Michael_L, Aug 2022
We took the Oslo Grand tour, which is all day. The tour guide was knowledgeable and approachable. The bus was on time and the driver very good. The bus audio system worked fine. We had less than an hour at the Norwegian Outdoor Folk Museum. If this is what you're interested in, take a tour specifically for the Folk Museum. I was disappointed. The tour through Vigeland Sculpture park and the Fram museum were about 50 minutes. There was not time on the stops to pick up something to eat. Comfort stops and food took away from the time for the tours. As for the cruise, the boat was packed with people. We did have a reserved space. There was no place to get out of the sun. The covered upper deck was packed. It was a good opportunity to see Oslo from the water. General comment: I have taken private tours through Viator in other countries. They were all excellent. I typically avoid bus tours. Taking the private tour allows you to tailor where you go and what you see. Bus tours usually fulfill a general view of cities and major sites.

Nice tour
James_R, July 2022
Margaret was a wonderful guide. The volume for the narration through the earphones was not loud enough even at maximum volume.
Great overview of the Oslo highlights!
Christine_P, July 2022
Tour guide was great and personable! (Diana). Great overview of the highlights we wanted to be sure to see.
