What To Expect

Greet your guide at a central Oslo location and listen to a short safety briefing before climbing onto your state-of-the-art bicycle. Cruise past Oslo’s beautiful National Theatre and the grand parliament building of Karl Johan’s gate, and then weave your way down ancient alleyways to Aker Brygge, an old shipyard that affords visitors wonderful views of the harbor.

Travel onward at a leisurely pace through neoclassical neighborhoods replete with 18th-century houses adorned with vibrantly painted facades. Stop for a refreshing drink at Akershus Castle (own expense), a magnificent Renaissance fortress, and then glide past the Royal Palace to absorb the imperial majesty of the Norwegian royal family’s regal residence.

Capture photographs of iconic venue, Oslo City Hall, the place in which the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony occurs, and then enjoy some leisurely free time to explore the verdant expanse of Frognerparken, an open-air exhibition of bronze and granite sculptures by acclaimed Norwegian sculptor, Gustav Vigeland.

After three hours of exploration, return to your original departure point and bid your guide farewell.

Nice way to see the city and learn the highlights!
Hillary_W, Oct 2022
Nice tour to see most highlights of the city! Biking was relatively flat and easy, except for right up to the palace. I walked the bike for that block - wasn’t an issue! Tour also went to a unique stop (compared to other tours): the fancy new neighborhood on the old docks. Tour wasn’t a 3 hour history lesson; it was about half biking, a quarter history, and a quarter personal time to look around the sites. This was a nice balance! Highly recommend.
Absolutely perfect!
Maria_A, July 2022
Probably the best introduction to Oslo you can have! Our guide Curtis was so friendly and gave us the big picture on norwegian culture and lifestyle.
Response from Host, July 2022
Thank you Maria for joining the tour with me and for taking the time to post such a nice review. It means a lot to me :-) Best regards, Curtis
Great tour of city
Walt_H, Aug 2022
Matt was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the city and also very helpful in giving us suggestions on places to eat and visit.
Response from Host, Aug 2022
Thank you so much and I have already let Matt know you enjoyed his tour. We are always happy when the customers enjoy some of the guide's suggestions on places to eat and visit :-) Best regards, Curtis Rojak

Bernadette_H, July 2022
Great ride. Recommend doing it on your first day. You learn a lot. Not a difficult ride. Very easy. Enjoy.
Response from Host, July 2022
Thank you so much for the positive review. We agree that a bike tour in general is a great thing to do on a first day in any new city: it gives you a good overview and let's you plan the rest of your trip. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Oslo! Best regards, Curtis
Oslo in a nutshell
Lauri_P, July 2022
I highly recommend this bike trip. You will see all the city highlights, learn city history and get some exercise. There are a few uphill areas but the route is 90% flat. Bring a day bag with a swimsuit to visit the beach after your ride, I’d the weather is nice.
Response from Host, July 2022
Hi Lauri. Some great advice to birng a swimsuit because it is easy to get inspired to jump in the clean waters of the Oslo Fjord during this tour. We have nice swimming spots all around the city -- the ones we see on tour plus others which the guides can recommend. Best regards, Curtis

Well worth doing on arrival in Oslo
Robyn_W, July 2022
Excellent narration by the tour leader. The highlight was going to Frognerparken, which is too far out of town to walk. Shown lesser known parts of the city
Response from Host, July 2022
Hi Robyn and thank you for the nice review. We agree that the sculptures of Frognerparken are a highlight and we still love visiting that world-class park even after thousands of tours there. It is a special place we enjoy sharing with our customers. Best regards, Curtis

Oslo city bike tour
Juliet_T, July 2022
Best bike tour I have ever been on. I always take them in every city I go to we had the owner as our guide and he was fun and knowledgeable. Half of our group ended up going out for a drink after the tour it was so much fun
Response from Host, July 2022
What a great review and thanks so much for the really nice feedback. We love when our customers make friends on tour, grab a drink or dinner afterwards -- people who choose bike tours are inherently cool, in our completely unbiased opinion, so it makes sense that plenty of our customers end up hanging out together after the tour :-) Best regards, Curtis
Really good experience
Bora_A, July 2022
Exploring the city by bike is definitely more exciting. I enjoyed cycling around the backstreets and beautiful parks. Curtis is a great guide, gave us too much information about the city. I definitely recommend this tour.
Response from Host, July 2022
Thank you for joining my tour, and thank you for the recommendation! Customers recommending us is one of the best things that can happen so we appreciate it sincerely. Best regards, Curtis
Fun Bike Ride through Oslo!
Nancy_L, Oct 2022
My husband & I were on a port stop in Oslo from a cruise that day. We booked this about 6-8 weeks prior to the tour and we were very happy we did! We've booked bike tours through Viator previously and they really do a great job pointing out all the interesting and famous spots on the tour. Our guide Charles was wonderful leading our group on a very safe & most interesting tour of Oslo! I would definitely suggest this tour again! We had fun!
Wonderful
Sherly_S, July 2022
We saw areas of Oslo and heard info we would not have learned otherwise, it was a great tour! Never knew the water in the fjords can be 20c, that’s warm.
Response from Host, July 2022
Thank you Sherly for the nice review. Sounds like you were tempted to swim so I hope you took the plunge while you were in Oslo. Last year the water was even warmer, over 25c/78f. Best regards, Curtis
Best bike tour ever!
Louise_F, Sept 2022
This tour is the best! Such great guides, Josh and Patrick were fun, and gave us the best information about Oslo, the bikes were a great way to get around! A must do!
Very enjoyable tour
James_R, July 2022

Response from Host, July 2022
Wow James: you took two of our tours and left two 5-star reviews. We are very appreciative of your business and the time you took to review us. Thanks so much! Best regards, Curtis

Emma_H, July 2022
It was a good way to get around the City but I didn't find the tour guide that helpful and he wasn't very careful from a safety perspective and kept riding ahead without looking back at the group to check we were all okay.
Response from Host, July 2022
Hi Emma. Thank you for joining the tour but a one-star review seems quite harsh for something you consider a "good way to get around the city". If you message me directly, I will speak with the guides. But I think it is tough for a customer to judge if the guide is looking back to check on the group as we often have strategic places and intersections where we check as we know the route well and know when and where to check. But as I mentioned, message me directly with the guide name and I can have a talk with that employee. Best regards, Curtis
