Enjoy a fun packed day exploring Yanchep National Park, the Lobster Shack in Cervantes, the Pinnacles, and Lancelin Sand Dunes on this 11-hour tour from Perth. See critters including lobsters, koalas, kangaroos, and birds; in Yanchep, tour the Lobster Shack factory; walk around the Pinnacles; and check out the sand dunes in Lancelin. You can try sandboarding on the dunes. Includes lunch, activities, and round-trip transportation.
  • 11-hour tour to Pinnacles and Yanchep National Park with Lobster Shack, from Perth
  • See koalas on the Koala Boardwalk at Yanchep National Park, along with Western grey kangaroos
  • Tour the Lobster Shack factory, then have a fish and chips lunch in Cervantes
  • Visit Nambung National Park to see the Pinnacles
  • Go sandboarding on large sand dunes in Lancelin
  • Includes lunch with drink and optional upgrade, transportation, and entrance fees
Depart from Perth in the morning and head north to Yanchep National Park, about a 45 minute drive outside the city.

Look for koalas, wild kangaroos, and the park's abundant bird life as you take in the scenery. Then continue another hour by road to reach Cervantes. Tour the lobster processing factory known as the Lobster Shack (closed between October 1 and December 7), and walk directly above rows of live rock lobsters. An audio guide is offered in many languages. Afterward, have lunch in Cervantes.

Next, a short drive brings you to Nambung National Park. Stop at the visitor center to learn about this large natural preserve, then take a walk around the Pinnacles. Your final stop is the town of Lancelin, which boasts extensive sand dunes nearby. Using the provided gear, you can try sandboarding, which is similar to snowboarding on sand.

Return to Perth in the evening at the end of your full-day tour.

The trip was very interesting - special thanks to Chief Explorer - Carola who made this trip interesting and very informative. Really appreciate her efforts to make sure everyone is well taking care off and no one is left behind.

Good trip all in all. I personally would of liked a tour guide who talked more and told us about the history of the parts of Australia we traveled through and visited.

Very exciting trip with several difference stops and attractions!

Definitely worth doing this trip if you have a day spare to explore the coastline north of Perth. Martin was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and flexible. He went slightly off the beaten track to show us the Stromatolites one of the passengers really wanted to see them which was a real highlight! The tour is well thought out - balancing enough time off the bus for everyone to stretch their legs with the drives between the scheduled stops. Our Lobster lunch optional - you can have fish and chips was delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed the day which ended with a drive along the northern beach suburbs of Perth to watch the sunset over the ocean. Highly recommended!!

My husband and I had an absolutely brilliant day at the Pinnacles, Yanchep, sandboarding and lobster shack tour. The tour guides were simply patient, helpful and made the tour fun and relaxed! Thank you for the precious memories and hospitality!!

A really good tour that takes in Yancheng National park great place to see kangaroos and koalas, the Indian Ocean, the pinnacles, which are stunning! Lunch at the Lobster shack was really good - worth paying for the Lobster lunch - the best lobster I've ever had - so fresh. It's a long, but really good day - highly recommend.

Although advertised as an 11 hour tour, it was 90 minutes - important when you have booked travel. The guide we had was fantastic deciding it was better to visit Yanchep later in the day. The most disappointing was the amount of time we spent at The Pinnacles! Surely, this is the main reason why people book this trip??? - and yet only 20 minutes free time to spend there! No way was that enough time to take in this amazing place! I'm assuming we had to be at the lobster shack by a certain time, and we spent far more time there, than we did at The Pinnacles. Personally, I thought the food at the Lobster Shack was nothing to rave about and I didn't recommend the restaurant to my friends who live in Australia. We did go to Lake Thetis too, which was a lovely place, but again, only about 15 minutes there. Although the guide asked, nobody really was interested in Sandboarding but he stopped there anyway, where eventually only 3 people took part in a slide each - again, I felt this was time that could have been better spent at The Pinnacles. The day ended at Yanchep, where we had a quick walk around the koala section, again about 15 minutes.
On the whole, we could have spent more time at The Pinnacles and Yanchep, seeing more of these places rather than too much time at the Lobster Shack and the driver wanting to finish work about 6pm when I was expecting to get back into Perth about 7.30 - 8pm

The Pinnacles was amazing! All in all a nice trip with good guiding and service!

Walking among the Pinnacles is worth the trip. The colors alone are unique with the gold sand, the multicolored rocks, and the white dunes bordering the Indian Ocean of emerald green and turquoise while the shapes of the pinnacles open your imagination. We chose the Yanchep tour rather than the nature park in order to see the animals in a more natural setting and indeed we did see wild kangaroos as well as somewhat domesticated koalas imported from other parts of Australia, however the setting was a resort, not the bush. The bus stopped at interesting sights along the way and there was time for many photos.
The tour had only three passengers and I appreciate that it was not canceled for low enrollment. We all enjoyed the meal, the walks and the information. Our guide was very enthusiastic and loved her job, an essential for a guide, however she acknowledged that she has more to learn and could not answer some questions. With Google all was addressed but we have traveled extensively and know that the role of the guide is essential to help understand and appreciate a sight and fill in history, anecdotes, some science in the narrative and to engage with as many clients as possible. It is also essential to learn to operate cameras and phones for photos. I felt as if we were missing some of that but are hopeful that the company will provide more comprehensive training.
