Our guide Steve as very engaging and made the tour fun and entertaining. I must advice, to pack some snack bars or some fruits with you during the hike. Though they do have snack bars and water for the group, with the hike and walk, it can make you very thirsty and hungry. We stopped at the Pravčická bridge for some beer and by this time we were famished and good things we brought some bananas and that sustained a bit. We ate lunch just before the gondola-like ride. And the food choices were excellent. I suggest before booking this tour, that you are fit to walk and hike for almost 10 miles. And the stairs to the Pravčická bridge can be steep and use shoes with good traction to prevent you from slipping. I saw people wearing sandals and Birkenstock type of shoes, that made me say “what are you thinking?” This tour is worth it, the view and scenery is breathtaking. With proper footwear, comfortable clothes and enough nourishment’s on your backpack, you’ll enjoy this trip. We were just disappointed with the driver with Steve, he was more than 20 minutes late in picking us up back to the city. And by this time, we were exhausted and just want to get some rest.
Tour guide Steven was great. The van trip took 1.5 hours from our hotel at 7 and back at 19:00. Our hikes were broken up and in total 14 km, very doable. Steven gave up water, a snack, and then a very filling meal 14:00 before the boat ride and more hiking. Great photos and our group got along very well.
Our guide Jacob was really good, but I wished he provided a bit more information overall. The views were great. It was a little breezy at some spots so be prepared for that. It was great getting to the Bastei Bridge early before the crowd and then we did lunch early which was great cause then the boat ride wasn't crowded. The sandstone arch was beautiful! Good solid incline on the way up so it was nice physical activity. The mini vans were also very comfortable (nice seats, roomy, and AC). Overall had a great time! Really happy I booked this because the views were great and it was nice to see some beautiful scenery outside the city. It was also a nice small group - just 9 of us with our guide.
Peter our guide and Roman our driver were extremely pleasant. Since we booked last minute, we had a separate car - and Peter would give us the on route highlights via a call to the bluetooth in the car. Once there we joined the other 6 in our group - and started out. We managed to hit every site before the crowds arrived - great experience on the part of Peter as to which circuit to take. The knowledge he shared and his jokes made the whole trip most enjoyable. There is nothing I can add to everyone's view of how beautiful Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland are - and we are thrilled that we did not try to do it on our own via trains, and busses - it would not have been a simple task. All in all a great day - with tons of walking and many hills to climb - and - what goes up must come down. A very worthwhile venture.
The whole experience was a blast and Petr was a fantastic guide. Every detail was taken care of, from snacks, drinks, and meals, all the way down to poncho's in case there was bad weather. Pavel even offered me to borrow his coat in case I was getting cold. If you're going to see the national park while you're in Prague which you absolutely should then this package is the only way to go. Thanks to Petr and Pavel for a great time!
This tour was a truly amazing highlight of my trip to Prague! This was my second time to Prague but first time seeing how beautiful the surrounding lands are. I would highly recommend it. Petr was our tour guide and he was great from start to finish. He came on time to my hotel to pick me up and even came in to meet me in the lobby! Our tour group was small, just myself and one other adventurer which made for an amazing personal experience. We drove in a comfortable car with snacks and water included! to the first stop at the Bastei Bridge. We explored around and Petr filled us in on the history of the medieval castle and the bridge. The views of the Elbe river and countryside below were spectacular. We then drove to an adorable and authentic little restaurant at the beginning of our next hiking adventure. The menu was truly unique, and the food spectacular. Given our tour guides great relationship with the restaurant owners we were treated so well and enjoyed our lunch at a leisurely rate as we chatted and joked and dined on duck and pork with bacon dumplings! After lunch we hiked down to the Kamenice river where we had so many photo opts which Petr always took the time to help capture great pictures. The Gondola ride along the river was incredible. The guide was given in German i think! but Petr translated as we went along and gave his own hilarious take on the scenery and rock formations. The last hike was up to the top of the Pravcivka Gate. We went at a nice speed, never felt rushed, and took tons of pictures. All in all this was an amazing experience. I had just run the Prague half marathon the day before but still the hiking involved in this trip was amazing every step of the way. Highly highly recommended! thank you for everything Petr!
