Czech countryside was incredible in the snow, Driver was on time, van was clean. All objectives were accomplished. All of the churches we wanted to see were simply magnificent. The lunch our driver arranged was very good and enjoyable. He took the time to arrange a private tour of the pilgrimage site we wanted to see which was really special.

Excellent excursion. Ossuary was fascinating. Also included a private tour of a small church completed in 862. Church and monastery at Zdar nad Sazavou were really interesting. Tour guide was excellent Tomas. Local guides at various sites were also great.

Full-Day Skiing on Klínovec Tour from Prague | Feb 2020
Reasonable experience, although lifts are open 9:00-16:00 and once leaving hotel in Prague at 8:00-8-30, 2-2.5hr drive, 1hr for gear rental so not a full day of skiing especially with the long ques for all lifts. Big day for man made snow for the money but still a great experience!!

Taxi arranged there and back to the zoo. Guide left us to wander around on our own which was great. But advised us when to be back for the taxi. You will do lots of walking at the zoo. Make sure you have good walking shoes.

Lovely scenery and great tour at glass works. Castle tour was very informative and the small town was fun. Both guide and driver were pleasant and polite, they took great care of us. Overall a very good choice for my sister and I.

A Day at Konopiste Chateau, Novy Knin, and Karlstejn Castle

star-5Lillian S
Konopiste Chateau and Nový Knín and Karlstejn Castle Private Tour from Prague | Jul 2018
I took my sister on a trip to Prague and, knowing the language barrier would be challenging, arranged a one-day tour outside the city to see some of the countryside. It was one of the highlights of our trip. First, our tour guide was simply delightful. She gave interesting background and perspective; answered countless questions on everything from language to culture to history to customs and more; and translated additional insight provided by our driver who did not speak as much English. Second, being able to view some of the beautiful Czech countryside was a real treat and not something we would have otherwise had the opportunity to do. Third, the mix of the three sites was perfect as they were each very different and, taken with knowledge gathered in Prague, provided a fuller perspective and 'flavor' in understanding the independence, creativity, intelligence, and pride of the Czech Republic and its people. Finally, to summarize, the tour was an overall joy and worth every penny. I will definitely keep Viator in mind when booking private tours as I travel.

Konopiste Chateau and Nový Knín and Karlstejn Castle Private Tour from Prague | Jul 2018

We were on this tour on Jul 11, 2018. The driver stunk of body odour as did his minivan. He spoke little English. The 2 young ladies who were our guides through the Chateau and Castle respectively did a marvellous job. The stop at Novy Knin was a waste of time. There was no English explanation of any of the exhibits and the lunch was less than good. The cost for a 2 person private tour warrants a lot more for the money!

Great all day tour. Our driver took...

Private Tour from Prague to Cesky Sternberk Castle, Chateau Zleby, Kacina Chateau, and Sedlec Ossuary, with Lunch | Jul 2018

Great all day tour. Our driver took us to two castles, and - per the provider's suggestion based on the fact we were a family with kids 6 and 9 years of age - to a wild life reserve, which was very entertaining and unusual. We then still visited the bone chirch, and arrived back to Prague in time for dinner. The driver also suggested an earlier start we left hotel at 8AM to make better time and traffic. This was fine with us as well.
The driver spoke very little English, but he found us guides in both castles we visited, and they were very informative and interesting to listen to. Castles are very well kept and are beautiful with history and interior.
We had lunch at a very local looking spot, that is used to catering to this kind of group. Lunch includes a drink or a beer - or a non-alcoholic beer as well. Our driver had one :- Don't be alarmed, it is really non-alcoholic.
Nature reserve worked better than doing three castles, based also on the experience by our friends with kids who also took this tour and opted for three castles instead.
In the reserve, they do a flight demonstration of birds of prey, which is amazing. The animals there are tamed, since most of them are unsuitable for life in the wild due to some circumstance badly injured or orphaned as a baby, kept as a pet then rejected, etc. The reserve also has beautiful white deer population.
The bone church is a short stop, as it is small, but impressive. If you feel it is crowded, wait a few minutes, as a large tour group might be passing through, and once they go back to their transport, there will be lots more room for photos, etc.
Between places, staring at the countryside is very relaxing, and feeds imagination of being in the past.

Full-Day Skiing on Klínovec Tour from Prague | Dec 2017

Skiing at Klinovec was the highlight of our holiday in Prague this December. The trip is very easy to book and the price does include everything you need to enjoy a proper winter's day on a sky slope. The guide was exceptionally helpful and caring :, as well as being a fantastic driver - my husband confirmed it and he doesn't particularly like being in a car when someone else is driving, especially in the snow!
To make sure that everything goes smoothly, be aware that is a 2 hours drive and you will need to be ready for pick up at the correct times.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we will surely go there again!

Folklore Evening Including Traditional Czech Dinner in Prague | Oct 2017

Everything about this evening was excellent. A cab picked us up at our hotel and delivered us to the front door of the restrurant where we were met by staff and promptly seated. The music, dancing and overall entertainment was wonderful as was the dinner, beer and wine. The wine flowed freely and they enlisted audience participation in the dancing and singing. Would highly recommend.

Hluboka Castle and Holasovice and Cesky Krumlov Overnight Tour From Prague | Oct 2017

The tour itself and sites visited were excellent and worth the trip. The issues..paid for english speaking guide. Vlosk was barely english speaking. The worst of it was that his personal hygiene was ghastly..he reeked !!! Impossible to get away from in the van and when he insisted on eating meals with us ...wow..made things very challenging. The accommodations were not in line with the price..sleeping on a cushion covered wooden platform on the third floor of a farmhouse..will little heat on the lower floors..is not in line with the price.
Be very careful with this tour..seeing these great sites another way is worth exploring.

Day Trip from Prague to the UNESCO Towns of Trebic and Telc | Sep 2017

This excursion is far less popular than the two other day trips from Prague that my husband and I took, but we liked it best. We also visited Cesky Krumlov and Karlovy Vary, both destinations that are overwhelmed by tourists. Trebic and Telc are much more low-key, while of great historic interest. You may expect a day trip that's basically private. In our case, the tour operator was our driver. His English was limited, though functional, and that was fine with us. He was very well organized and did a fine job planning our time and setting up the visits as well as several bathroom stops and our lunch. At the medieval church and the Jewish ghetto in Trebic, we had excellent English-speaking guides. More people should take advantage of this opportunity to see these lovely, well-preserved Czech towns.
