Pisa/Florence perfecto

Small-Group Tour: Florence and Pisa Day Trip from Rome | Feb 2020
This was the BEST tour I’ve experienced with Viator! There were only three of us and we had a blast! We spent about an 1 1/2 hour in Pisa which was ample amount of time! Florence was ahhhhhmazing! We were able to have lunch, see the statue of David, get pics at Ponte Vecchio and witness the most perfect view of Florence! I wish we had more time to SHOP! I guess that means we will have to go back! Grazie Mille

Fantastic experience with Pino and Giordano

Private Tour: Amalfi Coast and Pompeii Day Trip from Rome | Feb 2020
Pino and Giordano - what a fantastic experience these two put together for my father and I! Pino was a super knowledgeable guide, having grown up in Naples and taking us to an excellent family run restaurant overlooking the sea on the Amalfi coast after having arranged for a comprehensive and thoroughly enjoyed a tour of Pompeii. He shared information about every area we pass through, and chatted with us throughout our entire day. Really a terrific guy, and we enjoyed our time with him. The tour in Pompeii surpassed our expectations and our expectations were very high. Definitely a must do! Giordano was an excellent driver, getting us safely to each stop quickly and making sure we were comfortable the entire time. After lunch in Amalfi, Pino took us on a short walk through the town, pointing out a number of historical an important attributes of the city. following that, we took a drive along the coast, stopping in Sorrento for some fresh squeezed orange and lemon juice before stopping for a lemon cello tasting. Fantastic day that my father and I are still talking about. Definitely recommend, and ask for these two by name if you can! Thank you Pino and Giordano!

Private Tour: Amalfi Coast and Pompeii Day Trip from Rome | Feb 2020
I know that Pino is married and so am I, so we will just be friends! Haha It was a magnificent day. Our family loved to visit to Pompeii. Our guide there, Hector, was fantastic. You can tell he loves his work. Very informative. Pino our guide for the day was very friendly and showed us the sweet spots. He made certain the we captured the right memories in photographs. Artur...BEST DRIVER EVER. If you get car sick, it’s a miserable ride from Rome. Take some Dramamine and go anyway!! Beautiful day. We HIGHLY recommend this tour and especially these guides! All the love from The Briggses!

Christina was our guide, and she was amazing. Super knowledgeable and since it was the low season, it was only our small group. She made it personable and fun. Amazing, amazing lunch with a great wine tasting at the end. One of our highlights of our trip

Small-Group Tour: Amalfi Coast and Pompeii Day Trip from Rome | Jan 2020
My friend and I really enjoyed our trip to the Amalfi Coast. Our tour guides were very friendly and professional. Our driver was amazing as he navigated the winding roads on the coast. The only disappointment that we had was lunch. Everything else was memorable.

Our visit to Pompei and the Amalfi coast

Private Tour: Amalfi Coast and Pompeii Day Trip from Rome | Jan 2020
We had a great time in our visit to Pompei and the Amalfi region. Christina, our guide, and Artur, our driver, were most helpful. Our guide in Pompei was almost as memorable as the ancient ruins themselves! Our trip went pretty much according to plan, and even unforeseen mishaps caused only minimal interruption. This tour is a good way of visiting this part of the country if you’re based in Rome and have only a limited time to spare.

Good (but loooong) day trip

Small-Group Tour: Amalfi Coast and Pompeii Day Trip from Rome | Jan 2020
We had a good trip, our tour guide (Jackie) and driver were great. We had a separate guide around the Pompeii ruins, and we liked him too. The restaurant we stopped at for lunch had a beautiful location and ocean view, but the food was pretty awful (and we are not very picky). The drive around Amalfi coast I felt was too long with the long drive still needed to get back to Rome, it was pretty miserable being stuck in the car for so long that evening. Overall I would recommend the tour, with those warnings.

Small Group Tour of Venice from Rome

star-5LorrieJ47
Small-Group Tour: Venice by Train Full Day Tour from Rome | Dec 2019
Great tour of Venice! This tour does involve a 3 1/2 hour train ride from Rome to Venice and vice versa. We were escorted the entire way from pick up at the hotel to drop off at the end of the tour. Our Guide was Guiliani and he also accompanied us on the train. In Venice, we walked through the streets and Guiliani explained the history of Venice. We also took a gondola ride (not included in price of the tour) and were impressed with the skill of the gondoliers. Lunch (own expense) was good and afterwards we went to a glass blowing demonstration. Our last stop was St Marks square and St Mark's Basilica. We were able to bypass the long line with our tour guide. St Marks is beautiful and well worth the visit. We returned to the train station by water taxi along the Grand Canal. Guiliani was a great guide; he gave us great information about Venice and the sights and made sure that we were able to see and do everything in Venice that we wanted. This was a long day but really memorable. My only advice would be to bring something to read on the long train ride. For us since it was October much of the train ride was in darkness (so hard to see the countryside).

Small-Group Tour: Amalfi Coast and Pompeii Day Trip from Rome | Dec 2019
We had an amazing experience on this tour. From the moment we were picked up (right outside the door to our AirBnb) to being dropped off that evening, it was all great! Our guide, Barbara, was great. Full of information and energy, she kept us informed, entertained, fed, and generally took great care of us. The local guide in Pompeii was awesome as well, and the tour was the perfect length... just long enough to get a real sense of the place, but short enough that we didn't get overwhelmed/bored. The lunch and exploring time in Amalfi was well worth the extra time. Barbara hooked us up with some fantastic limoncello (at really good prices compared to what we saw in Rome), which we'll be enjoying for some time! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Would not suggest this tour waste of a day and lots of money

Small-Group Tour: Florence and Pisa Day Trip from Rome | Dec 2019
Viator brokered the tour to Welcome Italy. Pisa was fine we had enough time to see things our Welcome Italy was great and described the sites what to see and where to spend your time effectively. We moved on to Florence and the local tour guide in Florence was the problem. We got to Florence and was rushed through the tour, We were told by 3 of the tour guides there was nothing to see inside of the Cathedral in Florence, so no point in going inside, This was a complete misrepresentation and was just part of an overall excuse to run through the tour as fast as possible. The guide that stayed with us all day from Welcome Italy was great and none of the problems had anything to do with her.

Rushed, but balanced

Small-Group Tour: Florence and Pisa Day Trip from Rome | Dec 2019
We had lots of things on the agenda. I was surprised that we were able to get in as much as we did. Our guides were very nice and accommodating for our whole group. There was another guide besides the one in our van who met us in Florence to show us the sites on the walking tour through Florence. Although he was nice and very knowledgeable, I think one guide could have handled the whole thing. Just an extra person to tip really. I say this because the time spent on each attraction in Florence was so short, we received only superficial information. The van was very small and you are hip to hip with the other guests. Since the seats only seat 3 people. the back seat is very cramped and if you're claustrophobic, forget it! There's no way to get out of the back seat without folding up one of the middle seats. Since people often travel in pairs, one of the pairs will be separated as my wife and I were for the whole trip. Fortunately, our travel mates were very nice, but if one was not nice, it would make for a long day. The roads along the coast are bumpy. And when I say bumpy, I'm talking teeth-shattering bumps. There are no signs to let the driver know where the bumps are, and there's no way to avoid some of them, so be prepared for a spine-crushing ride on the way to Pisa. On the way back, it's dark, but you're on more of an interstate. There are some sharp curves and our driver made me feel like we were going over the edge several times. He lane-straddled very often and passed within milimeters of other cars. Scary for highway speeds of 140+KPH. Yes, I was watching the speedometer. The good part was that the GPS told me we had 2.5 hours to go and it took a little more than 1.5 not counting our stop at the gas station. I wish we had a little more time for souvenir shopping, but like I said, we fit in a lot of attractions. A LOT. Great photos and we'll have to return for more! Our guide Michaela was very nice and patient with our tourist questions and was quite knowledgeable on Etruscan history in the region. I recommend this tour for the above reasons!

3.5 hours there along the coast was nice, and 3 hours back to rest after a full day. Had sufficient time to see the leaning Tower of Pisa but not go up in it. Saw The David quickly and so much of beautiful Florence from the walking tour.
