Why Travellers Choose This Tour

This small-group tour cycles around Rome with electric bikes on a route avoiding traffic and tourists.
Meet your guide at a central Rome location to start your city bike tour that takes in main attractions and picturesque sights. Most of the routes you’ll follow are limited to traffic—some have no traffic at all—so you can enjoy a relaxed experience.
In addition to the famous attractions included in your biking itinerary, such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Navona, Venezia Square and the Capitoline Hill, with a view of the Roman Forum, (depending on the tour route) your guide will also highlight lesser-known spots like hidden passageways and ancient walls, and will stop occasionally so you can enjoy great sights and photo ops.

Fabio was fantastic. We cycled all over the city and Fabio had interesting facts for each stop. We even went over the bridge to Trastevere. The e-bikes were a big help on some of the hills and also because it was very hot the day we were there. I highly recommend this tour and I hope you have Fabio as a guide.
Making the most of one full day in Rome
, Jun 2019
We chose the small group bike tour so we could tick off some of Rome’s main attractions and have some time left to return to some for a more in depth look. Having self toured Milan and Florence we were keen to experience a guided tour so we could learn a few more facts rather than just looking at things and thinking they were great! Our guide (Catharine) was friendly and had great knowledge, she kept up a good pace for the 8 of us so no one got bored. In addition she was flexible and sought the groups permission to be a about 15 minutes late back So we could squeeze in a cycle through a lovely neighbourhood on the way back to base. She also took time to give us some lunch recommendations which we used and had a fantastic experience. We went back by tram and revisited the colosseum in the evening. We would recommend the morning tour, it starts to get very busy and very warm as the day goes on. We used the ebikes which did make the hilly sections nice and easy. You can choose to use the electric function or not if you’re looking for more of a workout.

Fabio was a great tour guide. We saw the most of the major attractions in Rome and Trestavere. Fabio was very knowledgeable. The electric assist bicycles were very helpful on the hills.
Loved this tour!

I never expected myself biking in Rome, but it actually worked well and I had a great time. I booked this tour the next day I arrived, so it gave me some ideas about the city, and as a beginner, E-bike was a good choice!

So much fun! A little scary at times to avoid vehicles but the guide was awesome in stopping traffic when needed and so helpful and kind. would do it again when in Rome!!

Good tour but not for the nervous rider

The equipment is great, the sights fantastic, but the route leaves a little to be desired. The tour guide took us through narrow back roads loaded with pedestrians and scooters/motorcycles (and the occaosional car). There were 3 crashes - one completely unrelated to the course - but the last two all in attempts to avoid pedestrians. Anyway if in the off season could be great but would only suggest to those comfortable riding in incredibly tight conditions.
I highly recommand this tour, because...

There's a lot that's great about this tour: You see a lot of the highlights of Rome, the guide is knowledgable and very warm and welcoming, and the bikes are well maintained in a highly efficient shop. But there are things that made it our least favorite of the three e-bike tours we participated in while in Europe: First, you're taken on a lot of sidewalks with pedestrians. While I assume this is done for safety better than being on the road it feels very intrusive to have 12 bikes soom past people walking down the sidewalk. Also, Rome is so busy that it often felt a bit unsafe to be on the tour. Finally, participants have a choice of using an ebike or a standard bike. You're then held to the speed of the slowest bike. So our family had ebikes but could only go as quickly as those who were on standard bikes. Everyone should have the same equipment.

Highly recommend!! I was unsure of it especially as we were taking our 8 year old son on it he's a decent biker, but the Rome traffic, cobblestone streets and hills certainly made me a bit nervous. He loved it and so did we! Our guide Alessandro shared some of the less known facts about Rome, which we really appreciated and which kept everyone engaged. Definitely opt for the electric bike if a choice is given, even if you are an avid biker. Would do it again!
