Why Travellers Choose This Tour
Stop in Positano after a guided tour of Pompeii with a small group—a rare combo from Rome.
Our guide Pavel was fantastic. He tried very hard to make us all feel well and took an individual interest for example by learning our names and their pronunciation. He told things about himself and we did the same. He gave a lot of information about the different sigths and the historic places.
Also about the different restaurants in Positano. He was very helpful.
He also gave us a list of good restaurants and the like in Rome.
We had 2 short stops. One on the way out and one going home. We could visit restrooms and buy coffe for ex. We needed that.
Our guide in Pompeji, Paolo knew a lot of the place. He was also very foresighted in that he tried to keep us in the shadow (if possible) and interacted with the other touristgroups there, so that all went smoothly. He suggested how and where to get the best photos.
The only thing that could have been arranged better was that there was no time to visit the shop at Pompeji.
In Positano of course there is little to be done about the steep stairs and slopes. To go down is allright, but up is another matter...

Otherwise very interesting and relaxed
Our tour guide Riccardo was funny and very passionate about Florence and the Amalfi Coast., thankfully we were lucky enough to have the fantastic Paulo as our guide around Pompeii, he made it interesting, exciting and fun. We found it amazing and loved the history and politics as we discovered this amazing city that was so old!. As if that wasn't enough we also got to see the beautiful Amalfi Coast and Positano, the black beach is interesting and a little odd when you come from Australian white sand but wonderful to experience and be sure to stop and smell the lemons !! It was a long day but really worth it !
I took the trip with my mother without knowing what we were getting into. It was a long day but we had a great time. Pompei is a rugged trip, and it was hot in June, but the tour leaders were great. A special kudos goes out to Sabrina. I have done many victor tours, but she was the best leader I had. She was fun, energetic, and knew when to talk, and knew when to be quiet. Good job Sabrina!
Seeing Pompeii is an experience of a lifetime. It’s a snapshot of the life of people of ancient Pompeii. Seriously amazing. Amalfi Coast on the other hand, could have been better. The stay was too short. All we were able to do was have lunch and do a little bit of shopping. There was not enough time to explore.
If u don't have brekky basically u will have nothing for hours. 10 minit stop after Pompeii- not good enough. Not long enough in Positano. Basically choose one thing only. Only time for either swim, food or shopping. Wouldn't recommend tour at all. I wouldn't have minded paying for a good tour - however feel quite ripped off
This was a small group to Positano & Pompeii. The group leader, Adrienne, was wonderful She was very knowledgeable & interested in explaining the history & any questions we might have. We had plenty of time to visit Positano. The guide in Pompeii was also very knowledgeable and very friendly. He really conveyed the history of the area. We took a another trip in Madrid with another company and regretted every second. We will definitely use this company again.
This was a fantastic trip. Our guide Giorgia was awesome and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day. She was also very helpful when it came to giving information on other things to do during our time in Italy. We immediately booked another tour through the company "Walks of Italy" because of our experience.
Day Tour to Pompeii with Amalfi Coast Drive and Positano Stop from Rome
, Jun 2019
The tour would have been very good If there were a few short stops on the Amalfi Coast drive. We couldn't take any decent photos on the drive as our guide said stops are not in the itinerary. It was
not that there were no safe stops and not enough time. Plenty of cars, even lorries were seen stopping at view points for photos. This tour is not suitable for seeing Amalfi Coast and Positano. We should have taken the Pompeii and Vesuvius Tour from Rome instead and do Amalfi Coast, Positano and Sorrento in another tour. Visit to Pompeii and the guide were very good,
