Why Travellers Choose This Tour

This tour takes the stress out of booking multiple bus and train tickets between Cusco and Machu Picchu.
Depart from Cusco in the morning, with pickup from your hotel and a transfer from the city center to your train station. Your departure location and travel experience will depend on the seating option you’ve selected (see the Itinerary below). Then enjoy a scenic train ride, offering stunning views of the mountainous terrain that makes up the area near Machu Picchu.
Arrive in Aguas Calientes, the small village located at the base of this famous Inca site, and board a bus for the short ride to this sacred citadel. Completed around 1450, when the Inca Empire was at the peak of its power and influence, the site was left vacant within 100 years of its creation, thanks to the conquest of the Inca people by the Spanish. Though the site today remains abandoned, many believe Machu Picchu to be a key center of spiritual energy.
Follow your guide through the main streets of this marvel of ancient engineering. Learn about the site’s history and design as you meander through its town square, key religious sites, elaborate network of agricultural terraces and intricately-designed stone staircases. After completing your guided tour, you’ll have time to explore on your own, taking some time for photos and to absorb the mystic energy of this one-of-a-kind site.
After spending a few hours at the site, you’ll return by bus to the train station in Aguas Calientes and then to your chosen train for the trip back to Cusco.
IMPORTANT: Your passport details are needed for the Machu Picchu Day Trip (Full name and Passport ID). Please provide your passport details in the additional request box, otherwise the tour will not be confirmed.

I was picked up early from the nearby point as my hotel was in a road not accessible by car! I was taken care of and the guide that tookMe around the MP was excellent! Very knowledgeable and as I was the only one doing a tour it felt private tour and so wonderful. He took many photos of me in the best places on the MP. The trip was an excellent value for money. Drivers that took me by car to the train station were brilliant! I highly recommend this company as it is the best!

We were emailed a confirmation with estimated pick up time about two months prior. They were able to contact our hotel and we received a note with the exact pick up time. They were even a few minutes early! I was very impressed by the timelyness. The excursion from beginning to end was 16 hours. It was an experience of a lifetime!

Its only a myth.. especially comparing with ancient Egyptians that made miracles thousands years before... If you stay around its good to go just for the experience but if you are far away better prefer Egypt where really miracles happened and not just a stone small and stone city that was built on.... 15th century BC!!!! When Europeans where talking about democracy culture arts etc...

Great experience, The tour guide was the best He was very understanding and advised us about the high altitude and reminded us to listen to our body not to force it to continue if we were having issues with the altitude. I do recommend the trip.

Machu Picchu is a must see that's for sure. but goodness it was crowded so pack your patience. our visit was also very sunny and very hot we visited in late Sept 2018 so pack a hat that covers your neck or your umbrella because you will get sunburned! from the moment we were picked up at our hotel, I never felt like I had to worry. this particular tour had several handoffs so I was a bit nervous we would get lost or forgotten from one handoff to the next but we didn't and we weren't! the guides at the train station were easily identifiable and got us where we needed to be! Delia was our guide at Machu Picchu and she was amazing! very knowledgeable and local resident so it was obvious what the history meant to her!

The site was amazing as we expected. I initially started to plan the logistics for our trip. I’m so glad I went with the tour. There are a lot of moving parts and this allowed me to just relax and enjoy the day trip. Our guide was amazing. The passion he has for his history and culture was evident. Our nine-year-old daughter was with us in addition to a few elderly. The breaks were perfectly planned to allow time to regroup between climbing. Highly recommend!!!
