Wolgang arrived at our hotel right on time and shared with us all of the great history of Salzburg. His knowledge of the area was very in depth and he was able to share with us a great deal of information about the city. We were able to hit all of the Sound of Music highlights but also learn our way around the city and all that it has to offer. This tour was the perfect length and left us time to visit the areas that interested us. Wolfgang dropped us off at Mirabell Gardens and recommended we visit the market. The market was awesome, we had a great lunch and a terrific time.
If you're a Sound of Music enthusiast this is the tour for you! Our guide was not only completely knowledgeable but was entertaining, kept all of us engaged especially my younger ones 9 and 12 years old... and even the boys! We went by the Von Trapp family home, took a stroll through a park that had children running and playing everywhere, saw the gazebo where Leizel had her first kiss, down the street the children hung like monkeys from the trees and of course the amphitheater where the Von Trapp family sang before making their big escape! We had a sing-a-long of Doe A Deer and more. Our guide not only told us many facts about TSOM but included many other sites and facts about Salzburg itself. All in all, we left the tour on a high note and could probably do the tour all over again!
