After morning pickup from your San Antonio hotel, travel in a comfortable climate-controlled coach to your first stop in Texas Hill Country, located about 75 miles (120 km) away.
Head to the Lyndon B Johnson National Historical Park to see the ranch that belonged to the former United States President. During your visit to the ‘Texas White House,’ learn about the 36th President of the United States and his wife Lady Bird Johnson, and see an example of a working cattle ranch from the 1860s.
Continue on to Fredericksburg, settled by German immigrants in the 1800s and one of the most famous towns in the hill country region. Stroll along the Hauptstrasse (Main Street), which features historic buildings in stone and wood, many with German design features. Have time to browse the boutiques and antique stores, and purchase lunch in one of the German restaurants or beer gardens.
Also in Fredericksburg, visit the Admiral Nimitz State Historic Site and the Japanese Garden of Peace, which is part of the National Museum of the Pacific War. The museum features a collection of more than 5,000 items that were used in the Pacific theater of World War II, and it is considered one of the top military museums in the United States.
At the end of your 8-hour tour, your guide returns you to your hotel in San Antonio.
