The trip to Tortuguera is long..we were picked 3 up at 5:40 and it took about 1.5 hours of pickups to get to the larger bus. We had an hour break for breakfast CR style and butterfly gardens. We arrived at 12:30 for lunch. We went to the village for about 90 minutes..not much other than shops..and access to look at the beach. After dinner you just relax at the lodge. We did the canal tour by an electric boat. Our guide Chicco Molina was great. The Laguna lodge employee Carlos Aryucet was also good. The 2nd afternoon was free as there is not much at the turtle museum other than a video. We saw lizards, toucans, spider and capuchon monkeys, an iguana crocodiles and other birds
