Board your tour vehicle upon pickup from your accommodation in Sedona. Your day trip to Grand Canyon National Park begins with a scenic drive up Oak Creek Canyon via a National Scenic Byway. The road winds through pine forests en route to Flagstaff, with the option of hotel pickup there.

Entering the park on the western side of the South Rim, you're treated to sweeping views of the Grand Canyon, Bright Angel fault line, and the Colorado River at Yavapai Point. After a lingering glimpse and plenty of photo ops from the park's widest overlook, it's time for lunch at the Maswick Lodge.

Afterward, you'll have time to explore Grand Canyon Village, the Historic District at the South Rim which includes the historical El Tovar Hotel, the Pueblo replica of Hopi House, art exhibits at Kolb Studio, and more. Take a walk along the canyon rim and search for giant California condors that call this area home.

Your tour vehicle continues eastward along the South Rim, stopping at Lipan Point to take in the vastness of the canyon. You'll find dramatic views from a variety of perspectives both inside and outside the Desert View Watchtower, designed by architect Mary Colter.

For an even more spectacular experience, opt for a 30-minute scenic helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon.

Departing the national park alongside the Little Colorado River Gorge, you'll see more impressive views on a drive through the Navajo Nation en route to the historical Cameron Trading Post, known for its outstanding selection of American Indian arts and crafts. The cliffs of the Painted Desert provide a picturesque backdrop for this scenic stop before drop-off at your hotel in Flagstaff or Sedona.

This is by far the best way to de the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and the other amazing stops on the way. Would recommend this tour to anyone. And our guide TY was the best!

Kathryn was a fun and knowledgable guide. It was great to settle back and rest between sites. The pace was fine. We had ample time to take in the amazing views without feeling rushed. Kathryn put together a terrific assortment of overlooks.

Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon and surrounding areas. She took us to 5-6 viewing sites and explained each area, took photos of each group in our tour at several spots. She made sure we were setup for lunch and she was always on time when picking us up after a break. There was about 12 in our group, so it was more intimate and we felt comfortable asking questions. She asked us if we wanted to stay longer at a particular site or if we wanted to move to another site. She was really accommodating to what we wanted to see and do. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the Grand Canyon.

The Grand Canyon was wonderful with a sprinkling of snow to add to the beauty. Our tour was very enjoyable and our guide was a really fun guy. Lunch was included and it was good - we were able to choose from a variety of food - something there for everyone. The views from the South Rim were amazing! The disappointment of the day for me was the helicopter flight. My husband and I were travelling with two friends so we thought we would possibly be in a four-passenger helicopter. We were however, designated to a six-passenger machine and seated in the back row. Consequently, the two people in the front seats had a great view as did the two seated on either side of the back row but the two in the middle-back seats could see very little. Being a keen photographer I was bitterly disappointed and a little peeved that my friend and I paid the same money as the others but didn't see the sights. Sorry, not good, and I wouldn't recommend the helicopter flight unless you are guaranteed a flight in a four-passenger machine.

This was my first visit to the Grand Canyon and it was breathtaking. We made a couple of stops before arriving at the G.C.
We stopped at ancient ruins and at a lava field. The mini bus we traveled in was comfortable, with seating for a small group.
When we reached the Canyon the weather was brisk and cloudy, Our guide took us too several points around the rim, as the day progressed the sky cleared making the colors of the Canyon more beautiful. But pictures do not due the sites justice It is a must see.
It was an exciting experience. The stop for lunch was less than memorable it is a long day and I hoped for a better lunch meal. Our guide has many years of experience and brought us to points on the rim that were not over crowded. He is also a excellent driver.

It was much nicer riding a bus on a cold, snowy day. We were fortunate seeing the canyon west of the lodge, which I'd never seen before. I'd previously only seen the outlooks east of the lodge on the south rim.

The driver was very knowledgeable BUT drove entirely TOO FAST. I will never take a Viator tour again.

The Grand Canyon appears to be incredibly beautiful. It is really hard to fathom it's beauty and vast size. Unfortunately I don't feel we were able to spend enough time here - a couple of quick stops, enough to grab photos but I felt it wasn't long enough to take it all in and feel it all. Definitely requires more than 1.5-2.5 hours - that is not long enough at all!! The stop at Wupatki national monument was great. A very quiet and peaceful site. Again, it would've been nice to spend more than half hour here. Our guide Mark stopped at the sunset canyon Lava overflow area, which was very cool! On our return he showed us Kendrick Park - this area was gorgeous. The air was fresh and clean and crisp. Divine. The included lunch at Cameron's Trading Post was decent too. I thought the prices in the store were quite expensive. Restrooms very clean.
