Our guide, Shaun, was fantastic. H e was very informative and funny. We loved the stories and the history..

Very nice tour. It was nice to hear sinister stories that you will not know normally from a local person.
Shaun was very interesting and was great in telling the stories, He knows a lot more about Korean culture and history. I am an avid fan of Korean dramas and movies and didn't thought of watching the films until after his recommendation. I like this tour very much and I hope others should not miss and will put this in their itinerary.

Loved this tour which mixed the history of the city with some of the more sinister goings on. Gave a fascinating and different perspective on Seoul that you won't hear from other perspectives. Fantastic set of stories that really brought alive the different places that we visited in a highly engaging manor.

A fantastic tour with a lot of information about the creepier parts of Seoul and a fun guide.

Best tour we had in Korea!!! Our guide Shaun had a really entertaining way of telling the ghost stories and they fitted the different beautiful sights perfectly. Also we learned a lot more about Korean culture than we had expected up front. And it was so nice to receive an email afterwards with more personal recommendations of our guide.

So my advice: if you have some time left in Korea, you should book this tour!

Had a lot of fun. The guide was amazing and very knowledgeable.

The tour guide was engaging, funny, and very well informed. The tour its self was very interesting and informative. There is a lot of walking but it is a leisure pace and not exhausting at all. Definitely a tour I highly recommend. If you're able to take it towards the beginning of your time in Korea do so as the guide will email you about some of the places and things from the tour that you can check out later i.e. the prison.

This was truly a one-of-a-kind experience. After some initial concerns about how legitimate the tour was Meet in front of a Dunkin' Donuts by a subway station...? Did I just get taken for a ride here...? it turned out to be absolutely everything that was advertised. And the unorthodox start also provided a great opportunity to meet and break the ice with others You're here for the tour, too? Great! No, I don't know any more than you do... The suspenseful buildup actually played very well into the spooky excitement of the theme of this tour, so in retrospect, I wouldn't change it. The guide, Joe, was both extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter and extremely open to the experiences and input of the tour group so that it didn't have the feeling of a rehearsed, canned lecture. Overall, it was a nearly perfect blend of professional and casual which made for an absolutely unforgettable experience which I would highly recommend to anyone who has an interest in those bits of history which tend to get swept under the rug. I would not recommend it to anyone with small children in tow as it does involve a fair bit of walking, and the subject matter doesn't really lend itself to sweet dreams, but for everyone else it is an entertaining and affordable glimpse into the more unsavory parts of Korean history which don't tend to get spoken about in polite company.
