My family and I would highly recommend this full day tour to anyone planning a trip to the Angkor temples. We explored three sites, Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, and Angkor Wat. As this was a private tour, we were able to adjust our airport pick-up time and itinerary to our specific needs. Our tour guide, Tip, did an excellent job showing us around and explaining the sites in detail. He was very caring, especially with our grandmother who was unable to climb the steps of the temples, and made us feel comfortable and entertained throughout the entire duration of the tour. In addition, the added bonus of having a private vehicle with air conditioning and cold water bottles provided us comfort in-between sites and some relief from the humid and hot April weather.
Thank you so much, Tip. Excellent job, excellent service! We would book this tour again if we visit the Angkor temples in the future.
An incredible tour with a knowledgeable, courteous, humorous and talented local guide named Soapan was informed that the name meant charismatic for a male and beautiful for a female. We explored 3 sites - Angkor Thom, Ta Phrom and Angkor Wat - in hot and humid weather. The driver kept providing us with water bottles - lost count as to how many but we were well hydrated to make it through the day. We were promptly picked up at 8 am from the hotel lobby and returned at around 4 pm. The guide was keen to show us another site however we had to politely decline as both of us were completely exhausted after walking 12,000 steps that day. The local tour agency is K-York and ask for the local guide Soapan - he takes awesome photographs for you on your phone.
Highly recommend this tour and the tour guide Tip. He was amazing! He was knowledgeable and funny, and very good with our three girls. He told them jokes and interacted with them the whole day. We lost a beloved stuffed animal at Angkor Wat and didn't realize it for several hours. We asked to go back to look for it and he agreed, even though he said there was NO way we'd find it. He got out of the van and helped us scour the area where we thought we had lost it, and was asking people if they'd seen it. A tuk tuk driver who had been there 2 hours before when we lost it happened to be back there again and heard what we were looking for, and he magically pulled it out of his tuk tuk! It's a miracle that we found it, and it wouldn't have happened without Mr. Tip's help. Great tour, great guide - highly recommend!!
Such a amazing full day tour.I'm went to this trip with my boyfriend. Okay so let me start to explain our trip. Our guide name is Mr.Raksa and our driver name is Mr.Nimol.We went to this trip around 14 october 2017.Our trip start with pick up at my hotel in Siemreap area and go to buy a ticket for one-day access Angkor wat area price is 37 per person. We start first point at Angkor tom see many historical places that made from rocks and manpower.Unfortunately around 11 a.m. weather is start to heavy rain but our guide spirit is very good we continue our trip to Ta prohm while it's rain. It's sound terrible but we think it's very fun. After lunch we go to the last point for this trip is Angkor wat. Overall i want to recommend this trip to everyone who want to travel private because your guide will have time to explain about every places that you go and private vehicle would make you feel very comfortable to travel not crowded. If we have a chance to go back we will book a sunset tour for sure. With love bong cartoonnilobon.
Hi, we booked this tour before we arrived in Cambodia. We called the viator hotline cause we had a few questions. The hotline was great, they put me on hold while getting information directly from the tour company.
Because we selected the private tour, we were able to modify our tour to fit our schedule. The usual pick up time was like 8 am. But we changed the pick up to 5:30am to make it for the sunrise viewing. After that, we returned to our hotel for breakfast and a rest til 9am. Then we went on to Angkor Thom, Bayon, lunch time and then back to Angkor Wat. There was more to the tour, but we decided to end the tour there. We were tired.
Our tour guide Tip and driver Pip were very good. Tip was very informative with historical data and life as a Cambodian. He spoke well in English. We appreciated his tour and would recommend him anytime. i think it is essential to have a guide. At Angkor Thom, a woman became lost from her group and was very upset and desperate. As this place is vast, you could easily get lost.
I especially like that the tour guide and driver were accommodating to our schedule. So if you are tired and can't manage the whole day all at one go, they were flexible and kind.
It was a really good tour. Our tour guide, Mr. James Bon Thai, was accommodating and filled the tour with all the information he could share with us. We learned a lot from this Cambodian trip, particularly from this tour of the temples at Angkor Archaeological Park Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm and Bayon. It was raining on the day of our tour, and we didn't get to go up the Angkor Wat tower they don't allow people to go up when it's raining, but we understand that it is so -- for the safety of the tourists. But it was all good, nevertheless. The information and history of the temples -- and Cambodia, too, in general -- that Mr. James shared with us truly made this tour a highly-recommended one. Thank you so much, Mr. Bon Thai, and to our driver, as well, for this wonderful tour.
This trip was a lot of fun. I saw it was private but I didn't think it was literally us, the guide and the driver. It was a pleasant surprise! They picked up us and drove us to the main temple area. We visited a lot of temples and it was amazing. Our tour guides name was Tip and he was so much fun! He was always smiling, cracking jokes, and helping us take awesome pictures. He was super engaging and really made the trip. We had lunch at a great restaurant and tried some authentic Cambodia food. We went in August and the weather was intense but I didn't make the trip any less enjoyable.
The trip says full day and you do have that option. Around 2pm we were done our temples and Tip said we had the option of hanging around till sunset or heading back. We were not in Cambodia long so we chose to head back so it was fully all day but it was jam packed with adventure! I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking to get a personalized, interactive, and informative tour of these great temples.
