The dinner experience, the outdoor bbq and surroundings were spectacular. Well catered for and staff are lovely.
AAA+ Strongly recommend. Amazing Tour
SANI_L, May 2022
This Tour was hands down amazing!!!! We couldn't fault AAT KINGS (except Kirsty or Kristy, who clearly hates her job and very rude & don't know how she has a job in Customer service!) .... RIGHT- Apart from that we had Frank, our driver, was hilarious & he was our driver. AAT were soo professional, Coaches were mint condition, clean, air con working, when we arrived at Uluru Viewing, they had 2 x tables set up for drinks (beer, wine, orange juice) and food (crackers, 2 x different dips, cheese, tray of carrot sticks and celery. Were fantastic, heaps of staff to serve you, everyone with a happy smile. Left ontime to get to our destination for bbq - does not do justice - staff again, on point, everything set up beautifully, music playing in background, just an amazing serene ambience. BBQ Chefs Bday, sang him happy birthday then ate, steak with cooked sensational, all salads and everything was done to perfection and to end the evening we had the pleasure of Alex giving us an Astronomy presentation, it was sensational. His knowledge and love of what he does had the entire Audience (100ish people) were entranced, engaged and we walked away feeling uplifted, spiritual and grateful for the knowledge Alex had imparted and presented just so well. COULD NOT FAULT AAT KINGS - THEY WERE AMAZING !!!!!! STAFF, TIMES, FOOD, LOCATION, COACHES, EVERYTHING

sharon_k, May 2022
Being so close to the rock for the first time was a highlight. Unfortunately it was cloudy so no star gazing, good meal, very generous portions and generous with drinks.
Did not meet expectations.
Paul_T, May 2022
There were a number of good parts to this experience. The viewing of the rock was nice with drinks and some nibbles. The speaker who led us around the night sky was great. The dinner itself was not good. Advertised as a barbecue, it was found as a jumble of meat (the chicken, prawns and kangaroo were fine) the steak was a huge disappointment. We were the last of around 130 people to get up to self serve and most of the food was cold. Then there was the organisation. We tried to clarify what our pick uptime was, as the ticket was confusing. Phoning AATKings was a complete disaster. We waited at least 35 minutes listening to their recorded message being told “an expert would be with us as soon as possible”. Another lady on the tour told us she had waited an hour and, like us, speaking to nobody. My call to Viator got somewhere, but even Viator had no success in talking to AATKings. I spent an very frustrating afternoon, just trying to find out what time we would be picked up. Maybe this put me in the wrong mind to go on the tour, but for the por food and painful attempt to contact AATKings, I would not recommend this to anyone. Go on the Sounds of Silence dinner, which we have done twice before. Same price, better experience.
Response from Host, May 2022
Hi Paul We do apologize for the long wait times you experienced with our contact centre, we are currently receiving a very high volume of calls and are working hard to build up resources to ensure our service levels remain high. We will be sure to also pass on your feedback regarding the food to our operations team. We do hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in the Red Centre and hope to welcome you on board again soon. Kind Regards, Jacob from AAT Kings
Great evening
Elizabeth_S, May 2022
Astronomy talk was great. Presenter was very knowledgeable and easy to follow. Food was great, and driver Sara was lots of fun. The staff in general were excellent.
An amazing bucket list experience!
Cheryl_B, May 2022
We would highly recommend this excursion. Our dinner at Uluru was a most fantastic ‘bucket list’ experience. We watched Uluṟu change its colours through sunset while sipping bubbly and eating delicious canapés and were then treated to a wonderful dinner right beside Uluṟu, apparently the only group to be positioned inside the national park. Matt gave us a very informative talk about the amazing and immense night sky before we headed home in the comfortable coach with our lovely and highly entertaining driver Sarah. Be aware that a national park pass is required ($38 each for a three day pass - no one day passes available). We had this already after exploring Uluṟu and Kata Tjuta previously but some people were unaware. It’s easy to buy online. If you get the chance, do it!
Nice dinner and drinks but slightly overpriced
Kathryn_B, May 2022
Sunset drinks and dinner under stars all very well organised in a great spot with nice team, however feel was over priced for the quality of food and wine served. Had a guy present a talk on the stars which was very interesting, however he didn’t like the fact that some people were talking during his presentation and made that obvious by berating the whole group and treating us like young children and threatening to finish up if we didn’t pay attention, he did not handle a very minor situation very well at all. All very uncomfortable.
Response from Host, May 2022
Hi Kathryn, Thank you very much for your feedback. I'll pass it on to our team in Ayers Rock. Jess from AAT Kings
BBQ dinner up close to Uluru
helzier, May 2022
This was a fabulous experience. We were picked up by AAT Kings from our accommodation and driven out to a viewing spot of Uluṟu and served drinks and nibbles. A great way to start the night. Then back on the bus and driven close to the base of the rock to where tables had been set up for dinner. The food was great , steaks on the BBQ, chicken, kangaroo and garlic prawns served with vegetables and also assorted salads. Dessert was also served to us at our tables. Drinks were constantly offered and served . We throughly enjoyed our night and would definitely recommend it
Wonderful evening, lovely food
Sandy_P, May 2022
We really enjoyed the evening. The food and drinks were plentiful and very nice. The location of the evening was amazing. Our only downfall was it was a very cloudy evening and we had poor visibility of the stars but the presentation was very interesting.

The food was delicious and the astronomy talk was fabulous. It was extremely well run and the staff were all very professional and friendly!
Poorly organised poor value
harold_w, Apr 2022
No communication from ASTKings on where to be picked up. Had to pay National Park entry fee for second time as not advised I had to bring proof. No seating provided for my disabled wife to watch sunset. No advice or assistance to walk 170m to barbecue. Substandard meal.
Response from Host, May 2022
Hi Harold, Thank you very much for your feedback. I'll pass it on to relevant teams. Jess from AAT Kings
Donna_L, Apr 2022
We were a group of 5 & every one of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was great & plenty of it. Service was super efficient & friendly. The star talk, also very interesting & informative. Highly recommend.
Uluru bbq.
Dell_L, Apr 2022
The drive out was amazing but then sitting together and having a wonderful bbq together under that incredible sky was unforgettable. The staff never stopped making sure every part of the evening went well.
Angela_L, Apr 2022
Unfortunately we had a disappointing and underwhelming experience as the bus transfer to Uluru was more than an hour late so we missed the sunset which was the main reason we booked the tour.
Response from Host, Apr 2022
Hi Angela, we do apologize for what occurred on the day of your tour. Our guest relations team are currently reaching out to all those that were impacted, in case we haven't already can you please privately message us with your email or send us an email to Kind Regards, Jacob from AAT Kings
Poorly Organized experience at a great venue…
Peter_K, Apr 2022
This sunset viewing and outdoor barbecue and star gazing at Ayers Rock experience was organized by a vendor called AATKING that was billed as similar to the popular “Sound of Silence” experience. Unfortunately it hardly lived up to the hype… Worst of all the bus pick up was over an hour late so we missed our sunset viewing. The quality of the barbecue was mediocre at best for paying over AUD $200 per person. Request for a partial refund is still pending. Overall it was a very disappointing experience!!!
Response from Host, Apr 2022
Hi Peter, can you please contact us at with your booking number and we can follow up with our operations team. We are sorry to read that you didn't enjoy your BBQ dinner experience with us. Hope to hear from you soon. Kind Regards, Jacob from AAT Kings
Wonderful location
Steve_E, Apr 2022
The whole atmosphere of this magic location was extraordinary. Loved the astronomy presentation. Extremely well organised & wonderful, funny & knowledgeable tour guides. A small criticism is that for the BBQ meal we felt it was a little overpriced.
Response from Host, Apr 2022
Thanks Steve, we are so glad you enjoyed your experience at our exclusive location for the Outback BBQ Dinner. Kind Regards, Jacob from AAT Kings
