We found the trips tour guides to be in formative and friendly! Did find one to be a bit pushy about receiving a tip to the point where she passed around a bag for tips!! The journey is designed to show as many of the major sites possible and the route was spot on!! Could find at the most popular sites to re-board may incur a long wait if the bus fills up!
We loved the package we got through Viator with Big Bus. Lots included, and so easy to use and informative. Agents at Viator were not very familiar with the package, and when I called a couple times before traveling, I got differing information so I was concerned going. However, the bus drivers were great, and everything that was supposed to be included in the package really was. Very happy!
Never have I ever experienced such a poorly run company as Big Bus In DC. The buses are in poor condition and the staff are not professional. They dont check tickets and tell you nothing. And they claim to come more frequently than all their competitors. NOT SO. What a waste of money.
We booked the Hop On Hop Off tour in other cities and enjoyed it but our experience in DC wasn’t great. We waited over an hour for the bus to arrive. Once we rode that bust to a main line and boarded we realized that there was no one on board to narrate the trip and the audio system was not very good. Will use the Metro to get around in DC in the future.
We used the Hop-On Hop-Off tour on a cold day and it was done well. The ride is good but the guide, Nor made the ride so much fun. After an almost trip around, we got off and went to Smithsonian Natural History and American History Museums. When we got back on< Nor was again our guide and remembered us. What a treat. Negative was that when we got to end of the route and we stayed on to go to 3rd stop, the crew changed and our guide was George who was almost terrible. His comments were boring and had no emotion to them. If you were watching a training video for guides, George would have been used as an example of what should not be done.
