Departure from the hotel at 9:00 am towards the parish of Camacha to observe the wicker factory and all its process. Afterwards, climb to Pico do Areeiro at 1818m, where you can observe the beautiful mountains and surrounding valleys and even the parish of Curral das nuntas, deep in one of the great valleys. Descent to Ribeiro Frio, where there is a nursery of trout that later are dropped in the brook.
A visit to the center of Santana is followed to observe the typical triangular houses with thatched roof, followed by another stop in Faial. Returning to Funchal, you will have two more stops, at the belvedere of Ponta de São Lourenço and Machico.

This half-day is dedicated to one of the havens of Madeira, the gardens! We partnered with Monte Palace Garden and Botanical Garden of Madeira to show you this beauty. The first stop is at Monte Palace Tropical Garden, which impresses with its beauty, diversity of culture, as well as, traces of the history of Portugal since the reign of D. Afonso Henriques, the first king of Portugal. The Monte Palace Madeira occupies an area of 70.000 square meters and houses a huge exotic plant’s collection, coming from all over the world, together with swans and duck’s, that populates the central lake, peacocks and chickens, that walk free in the main areas of the property (fee applies).
The tour ends in the botanical garden, founded in 1960 by a Madeiran Botanical, here we can find more than 2500 species of plants, from different parts in the world all brought together in the Garden of the Atlantic (fee applies).
This Half day is dedicated to flowers, one of the island treasures. We partnered with Palheiro gardens to you this beautiful quiet sight in the east of Funchal. Our Island offers a vast repertoire of gardens that's why one of Madeira nicknames was the Garden of the Atlantic. During this tour, we will take you to the Palheiro Garden a beautiful private garden that was owned by the Blandy family (entrance fee applies).
After our beautiful walk-in Palheiro Gardens we head to the Hortensia Gardens where you can drink various teas, enjoy the delicious and famous apple pie plus enjoy the fabulous panoramic view over the city of Funchal.

The trail runs along the Ponta de S. Lourenço, the easternmost peninsula on the island of Madeira, named after the caravel of João Gonçalves Zarco, one of the three discoverers of the island of Madeira.
This peninsula is of volcanic origin, in its majority basaltic, being also existent formations of calcareous sediments. In its follow-up we have two islets: the islet of Barley, the Half or the Desembarcadouros, the islet of Ponta de S. Lourenço, the Farol or Fora.
The peninsula is classified as a partial natural reserve and the islet of the Desembarcadouro full nature reserve. The entire terrestrial area and the marine area adjacent to the North coast, up to the depth of 50 m, are part of the European Network of Sites of Community Importance - Natura 2000 Network.

After the Cabo Girão viewpoint, situated on the highest promontory in Europe, at an elevation of 580 m, offers a vertiginous view of the fajãs of Rancho and Cabo Girão – small areas of cultivated land at the foot of the cliff – as well as magnificent panoramic views over the ocean and the municipalities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.
And we will finish in Camara de Lobos with a picnic.
Situated in Campanario and with a reasonable access for all walkers (about 30 minutes walk) lays one of the most beautiful paradise of Madeira the pebble beach "Calhau da Lapa" crystal clear water and absolutely silent and tranquilizing.
