We had high expectations for this cruise and we were not disappointed. Our Captain, Jan(sp) was also our tour guide. He was full of interesting information and presented it in an entertaining fashion. Fortunately for us, his English is excellent. This tour gave us a perfect first look at Amsterdam. I would heartily recommend the tour to anyone, including families with small children, Incidentally, the dock which was our beginning and ending point is conveniently located, just a few minutes from the Amsterdam Flower Market.
I visited Amsterdam for a conference so had little time to explore on my own.So I decided to book this canal cruise for early Friday morning. Someone mentioned that the canals are a little quieter in the mornings. This was such a good tour. The captain, and I forgot this name sorry, was very friendly, funny and have some great background on the places we sailed by. The small group setup was great because the boat wasn't crowded and you could relax as you sailed by the architecture of this beautiful city. Cannot wait to go back!!
Perfect for the traveler that doesn't want the experience of a big boat with a recorded tour. I was looking for something smaller, more intimate, and that felt more traditional. I was so glad to find this option. The group was small. The boat was warm. The captain served as a knowledgable guide. Overall it was the perfect canal cruise for us!
