See what’s ‘brewing’ in Berlin, a world capital of beer culture, during this beer-themed exploration of the German capital. Stop by three of the city’s bars and breweries for tastings, learning along the way about the long, multi-century history of the drink in Germany and about locals’ love for all things beer. A traditional German snack is also included.
  • Learn about the long history of German brewing culture
  • Sample local brews during three included tasting stops
  • Fuel your tasting trip with an included traditional German snack
  • Great introduction to the beer culture of Berlin
Meet your local guide at Berlin’s Oranienburger Straße S-Bahn Station to start your beer-themed exploration of the German capital.

As you walk through the side streets of the city, you’ll get an introduction to all things related to German beer. Learn about the history of the 500-year old German Purity Law that helped establish the country’s beer brewing industry, and get an introduction to the country’s thriving culture of “biergartens” and beer culture.

Over the course of your walk, you’ll duck into three bars and breweries to sample some of the local product, washing down your tastings with an included traditional German snack. By the end of your excursion you’ll be filled with plenty of new facts about Berlin beer culture, plus plenty of beer (of course). Your tour ends at your final stop.

Overall it was a very enjoyable tour. Our tour guide Xavier was very knowledgeable about beer and also gave us some information about Berlin as we went along. All the beers provided on the tour were delicious and the taverns/bars we visited had a welcoming atmosphere :) great value for money!

To walk around Berlin visiting three different sites, hear a lot of interesting facts about craft beer, different types of beer and a lot about the German beer history was great. The small group was a good one. And our guide Marck was very friendly and fun. He also knew a lot of interesting facts and stories!!

This experience was ok but not quite what it was hyped up to be in the advertisement. Meeting the guide was easy enough and he was friendly but the overall experience was kind of meh. To be sure, this is just a tasting as the advertisement says so if you are expecting a full beer at each stop that isn't happening. One of the stops is a small convenience store where if you want a beer you have to purchase it - ok, 2 Euro isn't that much but you might want to put in the advertisement that the stop will include a convenience store with the option to purchase beer. The guide is at that stage of life where he thinks it is cool to work profanity into his descriptions - not over the top but slightly annoying. He also liked to bash American beer every chance he got - hey dude, a Pilsner is a pilsner so get over yourself. The worst part of the tour was standing outside for several minutes prior and after each visit to get a Wikipedia type description of what we were going to be doing which could have easily been done inside. I realize 28 degrees F isn't that cold for a Berliner but it is cold for some of us.

The tour guide was a half hour late. I didn't feel like I learned much about beer on this tour but did get to try some good German beers. One of the bars we went to for a tasting didn't even know we were coming. The best part was the people we met on the tour. Once the tour guide cut out as soon as his three hours were up, everyone else stayed and kept drinking. Great people.
