Take a leisurely midday break with a 3-hour lunch cruise through Bordeaux on the Garonne River. Sip a welcome apéritif as you settle in for the cruise, then dine on a lovely 3-course lunch prepared on board with seasonal and regional ingredients. As you eat lunch, watch the sights of this UNESCO-listed city drift past – including Quai Richelieu, Pont de Pierre, Place de la Bourse and the Basilica of St Michael.
  • 3-hour Bordeaux river cruise with lunch
  • Enjoy a welcome cocktail as you glide along the Garonne River
  • Admire a panorama of Bordeaux's UNESCO World Heritage-listed waterfront
  • View famous sights including Place de la Bourse, Pont de Pierre and Basilica of St Michael from the comfort of your boat
  • Sit down to a freshly prepared 3-course lunch
Head for the waterfront of the Garonne River near the city center of Bordeaux to climb aboard the awaiting river boat and begin your lunchtime cruise. Enjoy a 'welcome aboard' apéritif as you get settled into your seat.
The Garonne River, one of the longest in France, cuts through Boardeaux and the famous wine country that surrounds it. This makes it a particularly scenic waterway, either in the countryside or in the UNESCO-listed city of Bordeaux.
As you float along the river, gaze out at the beautiful buildings along Bordeaux's waterfront. Drift past the 18th-century square called Place de la Bourse, designed by an architect working for King Louis XV. See the arch at Porte de Bourgogne on Quai Richelieu, glide underneath the Pont de Pierre and check out the impressive spire atop the Basilica of St Michael.
During the cruise, feast on a 3-course lunch prepared right on board the boat. The menu changes with the seasons, since the kitchen staff uses seasonal and local ingredients in the dishes, but a sample menu is listed in the Itinerary section below.
After the boat goes underneath the Pont d'Aquitaine and reaches the Château Grattequina, it turns around and goes back the other way toward the starting point, where the cruise ends after three hours.

• Homemade terrine
• Mullet tartare with dill vinaigretteMain course (choice of one):

This was an excellent experience. The staff were so friendly and efficient and the food really was delicious. The organization was very good we had a nice window table for just the two of us and the tables had already been allocated before boarding. It was a lovely way to spend a lunchtime and to see Bordeaux from the river. I can highly recommend this trip.

This wasn't quite what I expected, although my expectations may have been unreasonable. I expected to see more than the riverfront and did not. That being said, wha we did see was quite nice, the lunch was very good and the staff was friendly and professional.

Relaxing way to spend a couple of hours on a sunny day. The boat is comfortable - nice dining area and plenty of outside space to enjoy the sun and views. The sights are pretty much limited to what you can see from either bank of the riverside in town - half the trip passes docks and industrial areas on one bank, nondescript countryside on the other. No choice in food - fish was cold after being served pointlessly in unheated cassoulet type pots. Staff very pleasant. No commentary or even map of the route provided.

The cruise was interesting but we didn't like the lunch.

This is a great experience. Highly recommended. The environment was great and the staffs were very friendly. Food was also nice. We bought a bottle of wine that paired with the food.

We has a lovely tour on the river with a very tasty lunch. It contained seasonal ingredients, was well presented and the staff were very attentive.

The service from the wait staff was excellent, but that was it. It was advertised as Emglish but there was none, no commentary on the cruise and the map was only in French. Meal was ok. Appetizer and dessert were above average, main course was well below average. I was very disappointed and cannot recommend. It turned out to just be a fair meal on a boat. We had notice where we went or what we saw.

Great river cruise with lunch down the Garonne, small boat so not too many people, the two staff serving lunch were very pleasant and attentive to us and spoke good english as well. Food was good value for money.

This is a lovely thing to do, quality of lunch was better than we expected and Bordeaux from the river is a sight worth seeing.
