Would highly recommend this excursion! We had a group of six and everyone agrees that Leo was the best tour guide and driver. It was easy to meet up with him after disembarking the ship, he gave us many suggestions and quickly helped us plan our day and get on our way. We started with a very informative tour around Cozumel's landmarks then unto the chocolate factory for a nice education on cocoa farming and chocolate tasting. When visiting other areas we all like to experience local cuisine so we asked Leo for a lunch spot that he himself would go to for a meal and he brought us to the best little spot that we would have never found on our own. We were treated like family and had the best meal of our trip - thank you Leo!! Then we opted out of tequila tasting and went straight to the beach resort. Here too Leo gave us three great options and we decided on the one with off the beach snorkeling. Snorkeling was just okay but the resort itself was nice and safe feeling. All-in-all, a nice time on Cozumel thanks to our tour guide :)
We had a fantastic day, off our ship for the day. We had read reviews stating Leo did a fantastic job, we were very excited when Leo (our tour guide) showed up in the yellow cap, as in instructions, with no problem finding him! We had a party of 5, including one senior with us, and the day was perfectly paced. Our private tour started with sightseeing in San Miguel, Leo gave us a lot of Mayan and local history along with information about the local people, he showed us the "sights" as well as the neighborhoods. We were able to stop several times to take pictures. We then visited the San Gervasio Mayan ruins, based on Leo's recommendation we purchase a tour guide for the ruins, this was well worth the extra money. After the ruins we went to the KaoKao Chocolate factory, to learn how chocolate is made along with tasting. We then decided to skip the Tequila Museum and headed to the beach. We had a fantastic lunch at a outside restaurant on the beach, with some time to enjoy the beach. Leo was very knowledgeable and really made our day perfect, he knew we would be running over our 5 hours a bit, and was not concerned. He dropped us off across the street from the pier so we could end our day with some shopping. We really enjoyed our day on Cozumel, and we would totally recommend Tours Plaza and Leo to any one !
Sergio, our guide/driver was amazing. Very accommodating and knowledgeable. He suggested places that were worth to see in Cozumel and was able to share the history of the beautiful island with us. He was also very flexible and open to any suggestions we made about the tour and schedule. That was a fantastic tour an I definitely recommend it to anyone.
This tour was awesome. It was 8 of us Gerardo gery is an spectacular tour guide.we really enjoyed the stops, including the first one for snacks and drinks. The Chocolate and Tequila tour was a hit, he blasted the music in the van it was so much fun.We like the restaurant he took us for lunch.the only bad thing at the restaurant was that the only option was chicken for everything, no beef or anything else.
I would definitely recommend this tour.
