Overview

Explore Playa Lagun and Shete Boka National Park during this full-day eco-adventure in Curacao. Ride in an open-top Jeep across desert plains to explore the northern coastline's rocky cliffs. Visit Lagun Beach (or another beach nearby) to snorkel in the shallow azure waters. See hawks, frigate birds and sea turtles in their natural habitat with commentary from your local guide. Stop by a natural spring to bask in the warm waters. All equipment and round-trip transportation from Curacao hotels are included.
  • Full-day tour of Shete Boka National Park and Playa Lagun
  • Visit an underground cavern and explore inlets of Curacao's rocky northern coastline with an experienced guide
  • See a variety of wildlife, including turtles, frigatebirds and herons
  • Lounge in the warm waters of Supladó, a natural pool in a crater
  • Snorkeling gear and round-trip hotel transport included
Following pickup at your hotel, have a seat in a open-air Jeep and take off on your 6-hour eco-adventure.
Your guide will transport you across the island's desert, filled with red clay and scrubby native plants. Arrive at the 6-mile (10-km) Shete Boka National Park, a protected area of rocky terrain on Curacao's northern coast.
Climb down from the Jeep to explore an ancient cave on foot. Hear about the geology and history of these interesting rock formations, then continue to some remote inlets further up the shoreline. Pause for spectacular photo ops of pounding surf, sea spray and coral and limestone cliffs.
Loook for herons, frigate birds and hawks swooping down for their meal from the sea. At a nearby beach, look for nests where turtles have laid their eggs or see one crawling along the sand.
Return to the Jeep and head for Supladó, a blowhole where warm ocean water shoots into the surrounding crater. Don your bathing suit and climb in to relax in this naturally formed hot tub, admiring the rainbows that form overhead due to the constant sea spray.
Your last stop is Play Lagun, a family-friendly beach that boasts spectacular snorkeling. Put on the provided mask, fins and snorkel, then head out into the shallows to float in the waters of the peaceful cove. See schools of tropical fish, sea turtles and impressive coral formations.
After 6 hours of exploring Curacao's myriad of natural attractions, enjoy drop-off back at your hotel.

Great tour.

We saw a lot of the countryside and visited amazing places tour buses could not access. Howard and his assistant were exceptional and very informative throughout the tour, though I would not recommend the iguana soup. However the tour was advertised as a jeep 4x4 tour yet we spent a good part of the 6 plus hours on the back of a Toyota pickup truck, sitting on cushioned plastic chairs. Only 1 hour was allocated to snorkelling and we were not too impressed with the variety of marine life though others spotted a turtle and squid. Lunch was a simple bun with 3 different types of filling. If you want to experience the back dirt and muddy roads of a beautiful sub tropical island, then this tour is for you.

We had a great time with Howard. He was very kind and took extremely good care of us. Took us to a lot more than any other tour.

we had such a great time on this tour! we were able to see pretty much the entire island from the back of an open air jeep. the island is so beautiful and our tour guide was really fun and knowledgable! we were able to see the fossilized, coral beach on the north side, the windmills that support the island electricity, and the bokas were spectacular! the highlight of the trip was swimming inches away from beautiful green sea turtles! they are pretty much guaranteed to be there due to the local fisherman throwing the scraps from their days catch back into the ocean.

Uhhh... this review is so hard to write...
Our guide, totally 5 stars!! He was so knowledgeable about the island as we went all over the west side and he even introduced us to Iguana Soup! if you have the opportunity, try it! It tastes like chicken noodle
Snorkeling on the west side beach was great and our guide noticed we weren't getting the full experience so he came in and said follow me! I'm so glad he did, we saw schools of fish that had to have been in the thousands! He pointed out some sand snake thing and an eel. This was definitely the best part of the day all thanks to him!
Now... for the not so great... On our way to the caves in the morning, we had to do some off roading, which was totally expected and fine... however the truck we were in broke down not once, not twice, but FOUR times. We could tell he was getting frustrated with the situation because it made him do his job inefficiently and it also pushed us back time-wise. The truck was old and had obviously had similar problems before. They need new vehicles.

Tour guide was great. Told us all about the islands history. Lunch was a little weak sandwiches and was going to go to 4-stars for that but that is not why you go on this tour.

Must Do!
Hop onto Jeep, tour the back roads to the Caves.
Our guide was fantastic. He taught us about the local living and culture too as we drove. The park had natural blow holes that misted us!
Awe explored the caves it was cool 1 room is full of Bats. We saw a beach full of Pink Flamingos.
We went snorkeling to a local beach with sea turtles and lots of other fish. Picnic style lunch was included as were water and punch.
Overall a very fun day.

Really fun adventure! The guide was funny and told us really cool fun facts. The tour was nice, with beautiful places. I liked the off road kind of tour it was, so not a lot of people ou tourists. If you like outdoor activities or visiting natural parks, this tour is perfect.

A wonderful tour of the many natural features of the island. Shete Boka is a beautiful park, and we enjoyed every aspect of the tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and warm, he really took care of us and shared with us the history of the island. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to see the natural beauty of Curacao! Also the good people at Viator were wonderful, prompt to answer questions, and I'll definitely book via Viator again.
