  • Full-day, private shore excursion from Tien Sa Port
  • Experience a traditional Vietnamese town
  • Learn about local history
  • See architectural landmarks
  • Perfect introduction for first-time visitors
Begin with a morning pickup at your cruise ship in Tien Sa Port, then travel to Hoi An with a private driver/guide. With a sleepy riverside setting and a fascinating blend of traditional and colonial architecture, Hoi An is perfect for touring on foot. Walk to a series of historical sites, including the Japanese Bridge, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, Sa Huynh Museum, and the 17th-century Ong Pagoda.

Continue to the local market to see displays of bright fruits and vegetables, then take the chance to customize this private tour: Hoi An is known for skilled tailors who can complete work in just a couple of hours, and your guide can help you find a reliable shop. Alternately, visit a historic house to see traditional live music, then head to a local restaurant for lunch.

In the afternoon, travel to Da Nang, where you’ll get sweeping views of the city from the summit of Marble Mountain. Learn about the caves and tunnels that pock the limestone terrain, and see pagodas in picturesque mountain settings. Make the return trip to Tien Sa, where you’ll be dropped at your ship prior to departure time.

Enjoyed seeing the historic city of Hoi An and had a wonderful lunch on the river. We saw China Beach and Ba Na Hill with the war tunnels. Our guide was very flexible and made extra stops to see water buffalo in the fields and sites from the Vietnam War era.
