Make your own way to one of the two conveniently located offices in Denali Park or the town of Healy.
After check-in, your guide helps to outfit you in a custom made drysuit that protects you from the glacial water. Once ready, transfer to the river by van or bus. Your guide provides a safety briefing at the river before you climb into the raft to start your trip.
Expect to spend two hours on the water during your whitewater adventure. Your guide expertly winds through the Nenana River Canyon taking you on a bumpy ride through 10 rapids that are rated class III to IV. Exciting wave-trains and powerful hydraulics create rapids with colorful names such as Razorback, Iceworm, Cable Car, Royal Flush, and Coffee Grinder.
On the left shore of the river, take in the scenery of Denali National Park with Mt Healy rising 3,000 feet (914 meters) high. Your guide shares informative commentary about Alaska's wildlife and history during the tour.
After an exhilarating 2-hour rafting trip, your tour ends with return transfer to your starting point.
