Meet your day's transportation at the Dublin Visitor Centre. Climb aboard the comfortable, air-conditioned coach and set off through the Irish countryside to your destination: the Cliffs of Moher. The drive takes roughly 4 hours each direction.

On the way, make a stop in the village of Doolin, where you can witness firsthand Ireland's developing surf scene. Grab a bite to eat (own expense) at a pub or restaurant in the village. Doolin is a backpacker’s paradise and home to Ireland’s burgeoning surfing scene. This village is packed with things to do making it a great hub for exploring the surrounding area.

Upon arrival at your destination, cash in your included ticket to the Visitor Center to learn about the UNESCO World Heritage-listed park's flora and fauna. Walk the paths at the cliffs' edge to see the rock arches, sea caves, and sea stacks from the viewing platform, many of which were used as a backdrop for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

At the end of 2 hours of free time, climb back on the bus for the 4-hour trip back to Dublin.

Super fun experience! The bus driver, Podrick, was very kind and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the time I spent at both the Cliffs and Galway. Would recommend if you are traveling to Dublin on a budget, it’s a great day trip for that!

Long Day on Bus

My husband really wanted to see the Cliffs of Moher and this was the only affordable way we could get all the way from Dublin to the cliffs. Our driver has great and had cheesy but hilarious jokes along the way. The drive there was on narrow winding roads and we were stuck unfortunately at the back of the bus. The strangers we were stuck with were not very fun or friendly. I think I would have rather had paid the extra money and hired a private driver to take us there. The Cliffs are beautiful that’s for sure.

We picked this Dualway Coaches tour specifically because it offered "2 hours of free time" at the Cliffs". The only stop besides the cliffs was the waste of your time Village of Doolin that was supposed to only be an hour stop. The guide pushed a boat tour on the drive up. Upon arrival of Doolin, the bus dropped half the bus off at the Doolin boat ramp then delivered the rest of us to this nothing town that consisted of a bar, snack/gift shop, restaurant and two stores that carried the same exact merchandise. Warning, not all the shops take credit cards. The one hour stop turned into an hour and a half. The bus was 20 minutes late picking us up because the boat tour was late getting back and consequently, they cut our time at the Cliffs down to an hour and a half. In addition, the guide barely spoke English. Her native language was Spanish and when she discovered 3 Spanish speaking people on the bus she began delivering the announcements in Spanish. We drove for 4 hours in the bus with barely any narration as to what we were seeing outside the window and when she did talk, you couldn't understand her anyway. Consequently, the bus ride was boring. Bring a book. I feel ripped off. I was expecting 2 hours at the cliffs and some kind of talk along the way to learn the history and information about the towns and sites we were seeing along the way. I was visiting Ireland man, not Spain, it would have been nice to get an Irish guide. The Cliffs are well worth spending some money to get to, just choose some other tour company.

Though the trip was quite long, there were enough stops and the guide (‘D’) did his best to entertain us with nice stories and music. The amazing cliffs made the trip worthwhile.

This was a really great tour and the cliffs are a must see if you are traveling to Ireland. Although the drive from Dublin to the coast is a bit long, the scenery along the way and multiple quick stops made make the journey easier. The tour left on time, the bus was very comfortable and our guide (Brian) was excellent. To sum it up, in my opinion, this tour was excellent and a great value for the money.

Cliffs of Moher

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. The cliffs and surrounding area were magnificent. Our driver and guide Richard O'Brien was excellent!! Richard was friendly, knowledgeable, and very witty. We were on a cruise and on a tight schedule. Although this was not a shore excursion we went anyway. After a traffic jam on the way back to Dublin, Richard went out of his way and rerouted the bus around Dublin and dropped us off at the pier. Literally, right at the gangway!!!

Perfect Weather, Personable Driver/Guide, Timely Schedule

While this is a long ride on a bus, it worked well for us as we'd flown overnight and needed to adjust to the time change. So we dropped our bags at the hotel and made our way to the bus pick-up location. The Cliffs of Moher are truly beautiful and rugged and amazing to see. As we were not scheduled to travel West, this was our only opportunity to see them. Our guide Sean was entertaining and knowledgeable, very personable and focused on the group's satisfaction. He kept us on time, recommended the extra boat tour instead of the town walkabout and dining (which was perfect, given the weather). We stopped en route both ways at a travel plaza that had lots of food options anyway, so skipping the opportunity to eat and taking the boat ride was not a problem at all for us. We just had to stay awake so we could re-set our internal body clocks ... that was the only hard part. Watch the weather ... it was clear and partly sunny yet still a little hazy at the coast, so it was perfect for us!

Pictures do not do this site justice. Incredible sight to see and we were fortunate to have a beautiful day for the trip. The ferry from Doolin to view the cliffs from the sea was a super value for 15 euros per person. Very comfortable bus trip from Dublin, and we had an excellent driver and guide. All went on schedule for the long day effort. Thank you viator!!!!
