Head to the ancient harbor of Cavtat, about an 60 minutes from Dubrovnik via bus or boat, and then meet your local guide and fellow kayakers on the pier. Listen to your guide explain the proper safety procedures of kayaking and learn how to paddle properly. After receiving the kayak, paddle, waterproof barrels for your personal stuff and a lifejacket, get ready to get in the water.
The cove at Cavtat is secluded, making it an excellent place to paddle around in a kayak. Set off from the historical harbor, which was once a Roman harbor, and paddle along the promenade while listening to intriguing historical tales from your guide.
Marvel at the crystal blue waters and the idyllic old harbor while you’re out at sea. And then follow the guide to the island of Supetar, just off of the coast from Cavtat. Get out of the kayak and enjoy a bottle of water and a sandwich, prepared at a local restaurant. Then explore the island, which is plush with verdant vegetation. Take a short hike around the island or choose to go snorkeling.
At a time arranged with your guide, get back in the kayak and go along a route back to the Old Town of Cavtat where the tour will finish. If you chose the evening tour, a glass of wine is included once back on the pier.
