Your tour will begin at an enoteca in Florence’s San Lorenzo district. This historic wine bar first opened in 1895 and has stayed in the hands of family since.
Join up with the owner and award-winning sommelier, Livio, and settle into your seat. As you begin to taste the selection of four Tuscan wines and a delicious spread of local produce, Livio will provide insightful background on the history of the enoteca and the distinct characteristics of each wine, including how they are made, which vineyards they come from and the delicacies that pair best with your glass.
Though menus vary with the season, expect to try fresh fruit, local cheeses, cold cuts, high-quality olive oils and pourings of the Super Tuscan Noir and Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG red. (A sample menu is provided in the Itinerary.)
As you sip and sample, feel free to ask Livio questions or simply relax and take in the scene around you. After an hour of tasting, your tour will conclude.
