Meet at 10:15am at the main entrance for the Accademia Gallery, and skip the general entry line to the museum. Spend a little more than an hour exploring the museum with your guide, and see some of Michelangelo’s most celebrated works, including David, St. Matthew, Prigioni, and Palestrina Pietà.
You'll have roughly three hours to explore the museum on your own, grab lunch, and walk through the city center. At 2:45pm, meet up with your guide at Loggia del Bigallo, a Gothic masterpiece that dates back to the 14th century, for your walking tour of the city.
Stand by the Florence Duomo, and take in the detailed architecture of Brunelleschi’s Dome. Visit the Baptistery of St. John (Battistero di San Giovanni) to see the Porta del Paradiso, the gilded bronze doors designed by sculptor Lorenzo Ghiberti.
Continue to Via Calzaioli in the heart of the Florence, and make your way to the Mercato della Paglia to toss a coin in the market's main fountain for good luck. Admire the romantic view of Ponte Vecchio bridge that’s well-known for having shops built along it, and perhaps stop in some of the jewelry shops.
End your tour in Piazza della Signoria. This square is full of Italian masterpieces such as Bartolomeo Ammannati's Fountain of Neptune, Loggia dei Lanzi, and Arnolfo di Cambio.
