After pickup at your downtown Guilin hotel, make the journey to the Reed Flute Cave by air-conditioned vehicle.
Located just outside Guiling, this natural cave is famed for its lake and spectacular stalactites and stalagmites, all enhanced by stunning illuminations. The cave is named after locally growing reeds that are traditionally made into flutes. On arrival, view the incredible rock formations as you explore the caverns. Marvel at the carbonate-sculpted spires and pinnacles, and along the way, see the 8th-century rock inscriptions.
Continue to Fubo Hill, a 698-foot (213-meter) karst rising from the River Li. Learn how 'Fubo' means ‘wave-subduing,’ and see the sculpture-filled caves and pavilions at its base.
Next, head for Elephant Trunk Hill Park, home to the riverside rock that resembles an elephant drinking from the waters with its trunk. Hear local legends and admire the temples, caves, and beautiful scenery.
Lastly, stroll around Guilin’s Seven Stars Park, a landscaped oasis of gardens and waterways. Admire the bridges, pagodas, and lawns, and absorb the views of the surrounding seven peaks that echo the Big Dipper constellation, lending the park its name.
Your tour includes a Chinese lunch and finishes with a hotel drop-off.
