A worthy half day drive from downtown Halifax to Peggy’s Cove
, Sep 2019
The tour guide/bus driver was funny, charming and offered interesting trivialities and factual information of the sights and attractions from downtown Halifax all the way to Peggy’s Cove. The bus ride was comfortable and an hour of exploring in Peggy’s Cove worked well for me.
Quaint, Unique Experience
, Aug 2019
Our bus trip from Halifax to Peggy's Cove was helped a lot by a very informative and well-spoken tour guide that kept the back and forth trip seem short. Peggy's Cove itself was unique in multiple ways. I've seen other reviews talk about the lighthouse and some of the history, but for my family the highlights were the great rock formations our kids spent a lot of time on, the scenery with the ocean and the waves crashing onto the rocks, and a live seal that washed up during low tide and then went back out when the tide raised up again. Halifax was 1 of 5 cities along our cruise route, and Peggy's Cove was the 2nd best thing we experienced on the trip.
Good Tour
, Aug 2019
The tour was good. The tour guide was funny and very knowledgeable about halifax. The only thing is I wish it was just a little longer even if it was by 15-30 minutes because based on the 3.5 hour tour (2 hours to drive there and back), its nice to have lunch there which could take 45 minutes to an hour and you are only there for 1.5 hours
Too crowded
, Aug 2019
The bus ride to and from Peggy's Cove was great, thanks to our bus driver/tour guide who shared a wealth of interesting information as we drove there about the area. Upon arrival, you have to rub shoulders with the crowd, everywhere. Impossible to take pictures without a stranger bombing your photo. Hey I guess it's a tourist attraction. Everything made in China in the souvenir shop. I won't go back - too crowded. Other things to see and do in NS.
Peggy's Cove bus tour

The bus tour was as good as Peggy's Cove. Humor and the stories were funny and informative. Upon our return, we are at one of several restaurants that were recommended. Again, great advice.

We really enjoyed our 31/2 hour trip to Peggy's Cove. It is exactly what it's hyped up to be. A quaint fishing village that opens its door to the rest of us. Don't miss having a lobster roll! Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and truly seemed to enjoy his job.
Magical Peggy's Cove

This was an excellent tour of Peggy's Cove, a breathtakingly beautiful, truly enchanting place to visit. Paul was an erudite, informative, and very helpful guide/driver. My wife and I enjoyed every minute of the tour and will certainly try to return. Thank you so much.

Ed our tour guide described the history of St. Margaret's Bay. The story behind how a ship wrecked survivor with an unknown became known as "Peggy of the Cove", hence the now recognized name of the cove "Peggy's Cove came to be. He did also point out the key tourist points and discussed a little bit about Halifax's history. The story of how the town of Halifax assisted with the aftermath of the Titanic. The stories are endless when it comes to the Maritimes.

On line we booked the tour for 2.5hr and got on the bus but was told it was 3.5 hr and so we got off. We would not make it to our cruise ship on time. And you now force me to pick a number for review. I would be more optimistic.
Excellent for solo travelers

Unlike more structured tours, this half day trip to Peggy's Cove is great for independent travelers. Our driver/guide Bob provided a knowledgeable, personable commentary from and back to Halifax. However, we were on our own at Peggy's Cove to hike around, take photos, eat in a restaurant, or shop. I liked being able to do what was most important to me and not being herded in a group. Lovely way to see the Peggy's Cove area.
