Begin your day with an 8am or 8.30am pickup from your central Hanoi hotel and soak up the scenery as you journey south through the countryside.
After an around 2.5-hour drive, arrive at historic Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam. Listen as your guide fills you in on Hoa Lu’s fascinating history and spend time admiring the city’s 10th- and 11th-century temples, which date back to the Le and Dinh dynasties.
Continue to Tam Coc, where you’ll break for lunch (included) at a local restaurant, before setting out to explore the natural wonder, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Jump aboard a traditional sampan (wooden boat) to cruise around the dramatic karst cliffs and limestone caves of Tam Coc, and discover for yourself why the site is nicknamed the ‘inland Halong Bay’.
Finish your day with a scenic 1-hour bike ride through the surrounding countryside and enjoy a glimpse of life in rural Vietnam as you glide past lush rice paddies and stop to visit riverside villages.
Back in Hanoi, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 6 or 6.30pm.
