After being picked up from your central Istanbul hotel or Istanbul cruise port, meet your guide and small group of no more than 15 people, and set out to explore a different side of Istanbul.
The first stop of the day is the Egyptian spice bazaar, where you’ll have time to explore the buzzing marketplace and browse the colorful stalls, laden with herbs, spices, dried fruits, and flowers. Perhaps pick up some edible souvenirs to take away with you (own expense), like delicious medjool dates or Turkish Delights in a wide variety of flavors.
Continue to the waterfront to board your Bosphorus cruise, then set sail along the strait, admiring views of Istanbul’s European and Asian sides. Keep your camera to hand as you glide along the parks, palaces, and villas that line the Bosphorus, looking out for the opulent Dolmabahce Palace, the grand pavilions of Yildiz Palace, and the lavish marble façade of Ciragan Palace.
Jump off on Istanbul’s Asian side to explore the Üsküdar district, taking time to admire views of the famous Bosphorus Bridge, and pause for a delicious Turkish-style lunch (included) at a local restaurant.
After lunch, follow in the footsteps of the Ottoman Sultans with a tour of the magnificent Beylerbeyi Palace and its beautiful gardens. There’s just time to take in the views from the top of Camlica Hill, Istanbul’s highest point, before riding the ferry back to the European side. After a full day taking in Istanbul’s two sides, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.
Please note: Beylerbeyi Palace is closed on Mondays and Thursdays and will therefore be replaced by Chora Museum.
