Enrich yourself with the fascinating history of Kyoto’s numerous UNESCO-listed temples and shrines during this day trip from Osaka. Explore the seemingly endless ‘torii’ gates at Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine, visit Kiyomizu-dera temple, explore Kinkaku-ji temple, and more. Some entrance fees are included; customize your trip by adding on lunch and roundtrip Osaka transfers.
  • Discover the UNESCO-listed temples and shrines of Kyoto
  • Walk among thousands of bright-red 'torii' gates at Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine
  • Admire the views from Kiyomizu-dera temple
  • Check out the serene gardens and elegant architecture of Kinkaku-ji temple
  • Optional choices include lunch and round-trip transfers from Osaka
Pick an Osaka departure point that works for you, choosing a morning departure location from among Umeda’s Nishi-Umeda Hearton Hotel or the JR Namba “OCAT.” Guests wishing to meet the group in Kyoto can head to the JR Kyoto station.
Begin your first Kyoto visit by heading to the Fushimi Inari Taisha shrine. Wander through this religious site’s collection of more than 1,000 brilliant-red “torii” gates and learn about its connection to the Japanese deities of agriculture, business, traffic safety, and a bountiful harvest.
Continue to Kyoto’s Kiyomizu-dera temple. You’ll have one hour to enjoy the amazing city views from the temple’s viewing platform, and to learn about the temple’s construction with 139 pillars and not a single nail. Following your Kiyomizu-dera visit, head to Shijo-karasuma to enjoy an optional lunch buffet featuring an assortment of 50 different Western and Japanese cuisines.
After your lunch break, head to Kinkaku-ji temple. Often referred to as “The Temple of the Golden Pavilion,” this elegant complex hosts a collection of peaceful gardens and traditional Japanese-style architecture. At the end of your visit you’ll be dropped off back at the JR Kyoto Station, or in Osaka at Namba OCAT or Hearton Hotel Nishi-Umeda.

Very good 1 day condensed trip to kyoto.... Tour guide was very good... Her name is haru..Covered major sights in kyoto. Very organised tour group. Lunch package could be skipped and taken on your own as there are several restaurants there.

Excellent locations, but guide is there really to provide instructions on how to get from one place to the next. Very limited in depth or background outside a broad overview on the bus.

I found the tour very informative, including interesting sights. Our guide was very knowledgable and nice. We had bad luck with the weather though, suffering from the rain pouring all day like crazy. As opposed to many other tours, I appreciated that suffucient time was allocated to each sight.

The local guide was very pleasant and helpful. She is friendly and nice. The itinerary is good covering the reputable sight-seeing sites.
The tour bus is clean and tidy with free wifi and charging service for mobile very considerable.

The tour was on time and well organised. Tour guide explained the itinerary and high level introductions to the temples. However due to limitation with English, was not able to provide more detail information.
The set lunch consist of 4 different type of Tofu. While Kyoto is famous for that, it is a little too much tofu.
Overall tour was good and covers the venues as planned.
