No one else booked this trip on the day my hubby and I did, so it ended up being a private tour. Our tour guide was not only knowledgeable, but also very professional and accommodating. He was able to find out that a few raffalisas were in bloom in the area, and gave us the opportunity to go see them. He provided great insight into the culture of the tribes of the island and their way of life. Highly recommend this trip. Mt. Kinabalu is breathe taking and the trip was well worth the 2 hour drive into the mainland.
Excellent trip had a great view of the mountain food was lovely unfortunately not many flowered in bloom at the botanical gardens (wring time of year) we did see the famous Rafflesia plant in flower. Canopy walk was a great experience too.
