Horrible Experience

We only were at the Grand Canyon for 60 minutes. The trip took 16 hours and the road conditions and the snow and ice at the Grand Canyon was unsafe. The Tour Operator should have cancelled the trips. Disappointed to say the least.

Continued the tour although it was clear the conditions were too dangerous

TL;DR, Due to snowy dangerous conditions, in a bus that wasn't equipped for such conditions, we didn't arrive at the canyon until 16:30, saw the Canyon for 10 minutes before the sunset and we did not get to do a trail walk due to the conditions. Due to heavy snow, it was clear by the time we reached Seligman at 12:30 PM that it was dangerous for us to continue. We saw 7 semis in the ditch before we got to Seligman, and one of the other buses was stuck in the snow outside the lunch stop. We passengers asked several times to turn the bus around, especially considering our route back in the night would be dangerous due to icy conditions. But I overheard the guide saying that the tour operator said "It will be icy no matter when you go, so keep going", which simply isn't true. If we had turned around we could have gotten back by sunset. In the end we got to see the grand canyon for 10 minutes before the sunset, we did not get to do a trail walk due to the conditions. Several other points: - There were no winter chains on the tyres (heard from the driver) - The defroster didn't work, so the guide had to continuously wipe down the window with a napkin to the driver could see out the window - The driver didn't know the directions, kept asking passengers to check our GPS - Driver using cellphone to make calls several times while driving - We expressed our concern for the above, stating it was dangerous for us to continue, and asked if we could get home another way. They told us yes, but we would have to pay for the über or whatever ourselves. It's simply unacceptable. I experienced real fear today at the hand of the operators and would hope that tours are better operated in future. I understand that these conditions can be expected at this time of year, but the tour operator should have made the call to keep us safe and turn us around earlier.

John and driver Robert made this day so much fun, they are a comedy act aswell as very informative tour guides. Even though the weather was against us and too foggy to see anything till the end, they still made the trip worth it. Very funny, with loads of information. Had a wonderful time.

This is our first time doing bus tour and we are totally satisfied with it. The driver Robert and tour guide Johnny were frienly and very informative in every step of the tour. For a one day trip without having to drive for almost 400 miles back and forth by yourself, it's worth it. We would do it again .

Awesome Tour

We had Shannon and Brandon as our driver and tour guide for the tour. They were fantastic! They knew all of the best photo locations and took the time to ensure we got the FULL experience from the Hoover Dam to Route 66 to Grand Canyon to In-N-Out Burger. We had a few special stops and photo opportunities that would have otherwise been missed if it wasn't for their dedication to provide an exceptional experience.

Maximized day tour with seamless itinerary

The tour was everything we were told it would be from the time the bus showed up at exactly 5:45am to the time we made our last dinner stop. Credit to the organizational skills of our tour guide Harrison and fortunately, a batch of cooperative and disciplined fellow tourists in the bus. Comfortable bus with entertainment, breakfast, lunch, unlimited drinking water and 3 full hours of viewing the canyon. The cost of the tour was well worth it!

The tour guide was very funny and upbeat and made the long ride seem shorter and more bearable. The snacks on the bus were good and very plentiful. The sights were great. It was a very long day but I would highly recommend the tour if the Grand Canyon is on your bucket list. Thanks John and Judy for being a great tour guide and a terrific bus driver!
