Your tour begins with a 7am pickup from your Lombok hotel. Traveling in the comfort of a private vehicle, set out on the around 2-hour journey to Senaru village.
Along the way, stop to visit the Baun Pusuk monkey forest, where you’ll have chance to admire monkeys in their natural environment. Next, learn more about the island’s Buddhist beliefs with a visit to the Wihara monastery, and perhaps get chance to visit the Buddhist school next to the temple to help the local children practice their English.
On arrival in Senaru Village, meet with your guide for the afternoon, a local villager who will escort you on a nature walk through the Rinjani National Park. Learn more about the wild landscapes and natural wonders as you stroll through the bamboo groves, spot wildlife in the rainforest, and marvel at the waterfalls of Sendang Gile and Tui Kelep.
Back in the village, tuck into a delicious lunch (included) at a local restaurant and enjoy some free time to explore independently. The final stop of the day is the tranquil Sembalun Valley, located at the base of Mount Rinjani and offering magnificent views of the active volcano.
Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 6pm.
Please note: Please wear suitable clothing for the visit to the Baun Pusuk monkey forest – the monkeys will often attempt to grab loose or dangling objects such as glasses, purses, shawls, and even earrings. It’s advisable to leave any such items in the car.
