Meet a guide and driver at your hotel in Senggigi or Mataram for departure between 7am and 7:30am (pickup is available in other areas for an additional fee).
The first stop of the day is Kediri Traditional Market, where you can soak up the bustling, local atmosphere as islanders trade and shop. After exploring the market, hop a cidomo, a horse-drawn carriage, to the nearby village of Banyumulek. Banyumulek is Lombok’s pottery center, and you’ll see skilled local artists using traditional techniques to shape clay.
After Banyumulek, continue to the weaving village of Kukarare, to see sonkets, ikat, and sarongs made from bright fabrics, then learn more about indigenous Sasak culture in Sade, a village that’s maintained Lombok culture.
Head to Kuta Beach for lunch at a local restaurant, and make the final stop of the day at the Mayura Water Palace, where the king’s family once worshipped—the former palace compound is now a park, with a lake and an artificial island. This full-day tour concludes with drop-off at the original departure point.
